This item appears exactly as shown in the photographs. The stones feel solid, the tongs are pretty sturdy, the bag is the typical cloth drawstring bag you'd expect (kind of like a D&D dice bag), everything's presented very nicely in the tasteful gift box. This would make a nice little gift or stocking stuffer for a whiskey lover.However, I did not order them for their functionality in whiskey. I ordered them because, as they are made of soapstone, they can withstand high temperatures. This means they are perfect for acting as small weights to hold down the paper liner in an air fryer.In both its intended use, and my bastardization of its intented function, I will vouch for the functionality of the product. 👍

I use the stones to re-chill a glass of white wine or to keep a drink cool on a hot summer day without adding water from melting ice. It came in a nice presentation package, boxed, a little bag and high-quality stainless steel tongs. Rinse the stones after use (never soap!), let them dry thoroughly and return them to the freezer. I keep them in a small Ziplock freezer bag.

These chilling stones are a well-crafted gift for anyone who appreciates a touch of glass with their scotch, whiskey or bourbon. And, if you’re local water supply makes awful ice cubes, the stones make that problem go away!

Put these in your favorite beverage when you'd like a small boost to cooling it off. They freeze very well, & pretty quickly too. They aren't going to make a warm drink cold, but I certainly would consider placing these into a glass of whiskey before drinking it. They are fine for cooling a beverage off. This is what they are made for. They aren't to replace your cubes. At least, this isn't what I've found.The picture of the glass, is a cold tea that I put these cubes into, for a drink. Very nice. They are heavy, so you may want to mix your additives or sweeteners first. I usually pop all 9 of these cubes in, once my drink is ready.The price is rather decent, & for sure this will make a great gift for someone. I know that I wanted some, if only to see how well they do. They do alright. I would say they drop the drink down a couple degrees & help keep it cool. They certainly look "neat".Wash them off before using them. Also between drinks & freezing. You may want to pick up one or two more packages, so that the previous batch can dry off, before freezing. I rinse mine off, wipe them with a paper towel, then stick them into a food bag & pop them in to the freezer. That's it, real easy.I have not noticed any flavor change nor anything other than having 9 cubes in my glass to make the drink cooler.

Bought these as a gift and was told the cubes do not keep drinks as cold as hoped.

These are great! They come in attractive packaging, including a fairly sturdy box.We ordered them because we own dairy goats. The goal with raw, fresh milk is to chill it as quickly as possible. We add these to our milk bucket prior to starting to milk and these help chill the milk significantly so it’s being chilled as it enters the bucket!The stainless steel balls are easy to clean so we don’t have concern over left over residual milk being left on them between milkings. We simply wash them after each time of processing the fresh milk, dry them, put them into the storage pouch included with purchase, then place them in the freezer until we need them the next morning! Each morning when we are ready to milk, we take the pouch out of the freezer , open it, and without having to touch the balls, hold the bottom of the pouch and turn it upside down to dump the balls into the milk bucket. They also come with a set of tongs for those who only need one or two ballls or don’t want to dump them. So easy to use!!They are a nice big size, comparable to a golf ball so it takes fewer to achieve the level of chilling we want.We are very pleased with this purchase, the price is really good for what you get!
