This thing is AMAZING
I bought this to use while traveling with my 13" MacBook Air, so I could have a lightweight screen that was bigger than the laptop but with a nice resolution. Tried a few different HD options that were just terrible. I hesitated on getting this one due to the price, but in the end it seemed to be the only option that would give me what I wanted. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Now almost one year later I want to write a review to let you know about my experience. So until now this monitor has been to 17 different countries and has never let me down! It's lightweight and slides easily into the laptop compartment of my large backpack, also easy to take out for security at the airport and slide right back in, and the included case is really nice and keeps it very well protected. Setting up is also a breeze - just plug into USB C on the MacBook and bam! Gets its power straight from the Mac so you don't need to carry around another brick. Just need to turn up the brightness a few notches and it remembers that setting until it's unplugged from power. Picture quality is amazing too, you can tell it's 4K and looks 1000x better than the other 1080p screens I tried. Crystal clear text and great color. Nice for watching movies too since it's more of a widescreen size. Also, having the USB A ports on the other side was awesome because I could use it as a quick USB hub without needing to carry around an extra dongle. To summarize, this thing never gave me any problems whatsoever and actually far exceeded my expectations. So in the end I felt like it was indeed worth every penny after all! If you're looking for a larger monitor than the other travel-sized options out there, and you want the best quality picture, this one should be your choice. Highly recommend!

Excellent Quality and Functionality at a Reasonable Price
This is a great portable monitor with an excellent refresh rate. The image is super crisp. I needed this to travel in my RV with my Mac Mini 4m Pro. My notebook blew a logicboard. So I needed to fall back to my desktop machine to travel with. Advantages: โข It does not require a power cord if you have a thunderbolt port or USB-C port. โข It gives you extra ports on the monitor itself. (I have a USB video camera plugged into the monitor instead of the computer). โข It has speakers built in. They're not super amazing, but they do sound good enough. โข It has a built-on cover so that it is protected when I put it in a drawer during travel days. Overall, I'm very glad that I chose this monitor. โข Clarity and brightness are great.

Checks all the boxes for my mobile 3D developer work
UPDATE 2026-10-06: I've used this monitor so much I've worn out a couple iterations of USB-C cables and have almost worn out the cover. Instead of replacing it I plan to contact Cocopar to see if they can sell me a replacement sleeve. If not, I'll live with it because I'm simply *not willing to let go of this device*. This has been one of my best electronics purchases in recent years. I'm considering another 17" portable UHD monitor for video production, and Cocopar is automatically on my "short list" of suppliers. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a first impression, which I intend to update as I gain more time using the product. I don't normally post reviews this quickly, but now that I have the product I can answer some pre-sales questions for others that were not clear to me from the product page. I am a computer engineer using a 17" mobile workstation for 3D interactive development (rendering, simulation, visualization, etc.) as well as software development and occasional video editing. Two screens are almost essential for the kind of work I do, and these tools work much better if all screens have the same native resolution. Since my primary display is 4K, I wanted to upgrade my portable monitor to match this. Some clarification of technical specs, based on questions I had before ordering: 1. If using the USB-C port for combined power and data, you do NOT necessarily need a separate power supply (connected to the USB-C "power only" port on the monitor), BUT this depends on how much current your host system can supply. On my mobile workstation, this monitor works perfectly with just one USB-C cable connected for power and data, even with the brightness at 8 or above. Presumably, the manufacturer's comments about needing a separate power connection at higher brightness refer to using this product with a cell phone, tablet, or smaller laptop that can't supply enough USB-C power. Check the manufacturer's specifications for your system to see how much USB-C power it can deliver. 2. By default, the brightness level is reset to minimum every time the monitor is disconnected or powered down, but there is a menu option to "save brightness". If this is set to ON, the monitor remembers your brightness preference between uses. They probably default to setting it at minimum to prevent it from failing to work if it's moved between devices with different USB-C capabilities. 3. The HDMI port is full-sized, not mini, and it *does* work at full 4K if your computer meets the required HDMI specification level. If the HDMI port and the USB-C data port are connected simultaneously to the same system, Windows (and maybe other o.s., but I haven't tested yet) will detect this (incorrectly) as two different monitors, or at least that's what happened for me. To use the HDMI port for data and USB-C for power, move the USB-C cable to the "power only" port on the monitor. INITIAL REVIEW AND COMMENTS * The build quality is high, but lightweight. Components are fit and finished with precision, but the enclosure is thin and light. It's the usual tradeoff between ruggedness and carry weight. So far I think they have struck a good compromise here, but this is not "built like a Sherman tank". Connectors and buttons seem to be typical for mobile devices. I would recommend carrying this monitor in a rigid case, or placing it alongside the laptop or tablet in a backpack or bag, to avoid flexing. Its thin profile is fantastic for mobility but inherently easier to bend -- and flexing or bending is very bad for display panels and the circuit boards that control them. * The USB-C and HDMI ports have a nice, crisp contact feel when they are connected, which suggests good retention properties and provides a tactile indication of the cable's connector being fully seated. * The folding protective sleeve is made of a durable-feeling leather-like material and should hold up well in daily use. The edges will probably experience some cosmetic wear effects over time, but I don't see anything here that concerns me about functional durability. * My system (a Dell Precision mobile workstation with NVidia GPU) instantly recognized this monitor at full 4K native resolution. No drivers were needed under Windows 10 Pro. I'll be testing with Linux on the next couple of weeks, but I do not expect any issues. It "Just Works". * The color quality and brightness exceeded my expectations. I have a hardware colorimeter but haven't calibrated this monitor yet. Comparing it visually against the calibrated (and excellent) primary display, I would say they are closely matched in color tone. Under cool LED office lighting, I run my main display at about 70%, and the Cocopar can visually match this with a setting of 80%, so there would be a decent amount of "headroom" for someone who prefers a brighter screen or is working in high ambient light (but probably not in direct sunlight). * The VESA mounting holes (75mm spacing) are threaded into the metal shell of the monitor, but there are no corresponding holes in the folding cover, so it is necessary to remove the cover before VESA mounting the monitor (or drill the VESA spaced holes yourself). * The cover attaches magnetically, and powerfully so. It almost feels as if the cover is glued in place, but it's actually quite removable. Don't store it next to a payment card with a magnetic stripe, or near your collection of vintage music tapes or floppy disks. * It's not relevant to product quality, but the attention to detail Cocopar put into their package design gives a very good first impression an suggests (hopefully accurately) an attention to quality in the product itself. The monitor arrived in a lift-top box of heavy card stock, padded by custom-fit closed cell foam inside, and wrapped in a plastic film liner. * I found the setup menus to be easy to figure out but slightly cumbersome to use because of the close spacing of the tiny buttons. Fortunately, this is a minor issue for most people who aren't constantly fiddling with the settings. * The package includes two USB-C cables, a small plugin USB-C charger, and an HDMI cable. It doesn't seem to have a Mini DisplayPort cable, probably because there are so many options for what people might need at the other end of that one. There is also a USB to USB-C cable that is clearly labeled "power only" (no video). SUMMARY So far, I'm favorably impressed and look forward to using this product. It was expensive, but for my professional requirements the variety of input ports and the display fidelity justify the cost. Assuming its durability holds up under daily use, this was a good choice.

Excellent portable monitor for creative work
Overview: The Cocopar 17.3 inch 4k portable monitor has exceeded my expectations and it is worth the high price tag. Display Quality and Capabilities: Resolution: This is the best-looking display I have ever seen. This monitor supports a true native 4k resolution and it is extremely sharp. It is so sharp that individual pixels and aliasing are imperceivable to the naked eye. Tip: If you use this monitor with a lower resolution monitor (1080p) in the extension mode, I recommend scaling the text and Icons higher than 100%. They will appear too small on a 4k monitor. 8bit color/Adobe RGB: This monitor has great color gamut right outside the box. If your workflow requires the Adobe RGB color space, you can select the color profile directly form the monitor OSD. I donโt have a calibration tool to test the exact color and gamma coverage of the display, but I did notice a significant improvement in color saturation and range compared to my built in 1080p laptop monitor that only supports sRGB. I tested this by opening a RAW file with an imbedded Adobe RGB profile in Camera Raw and dragged the window between the two screens. I also set the two monitors to the Adobe RGB 1998 profiles in the Windows display setting. Portability and Convenience: The best part about this monitor is how portable it is and how easy it is to set up and start working. The monitor 2.2Lb and I find it very light for its size. It is very quick to set up to a monitor if you use USB Type-C because it supports video and power; that means you will only need one cable to operate the monitor. Great Customer Service and Warranty Cocopar support is quick to respond to emails and very clear explaining the details about warranty information. Registering the product was very easy. This is the only company that I have seen to provide a 3-year warranty for manufacturing defects. Details about the warranty can be found on their website: www.cocopar.net Great packaging and presentation The box that comes with the monitor looks very professional. All the items are very organized and covered with protective foam and plastic wraps. All advertised items where include in the box including a manual. The manual is very clear to understand and has images and diagrams to help you set up the monitor correctly.

A great monitor, clear crisp and 2 lbs., what are you waiting for?
I have been a remote worker for 15 months and I need to start going back into the office. I didn't want to use my work PC for getting work done, I have a Mac laptop that is much faster than my office PC, so I'd prefer to bring my personal laptop to get my work done. However, with a 13 inch screen, screen real estate is an issue. I was in the market for an external monitor. I saw a lot of 15 inch monitors but I work on a 24 inch monitor at home. After constantly searching I found this 17 inch monitor and it is one of the only (if not the only) portable monitor this size. Now that you've made it past my boring reasons for using it, how does it measure up? The screen is gorgeous in some ways better than my non portable 24 inch monitor. It's clear, crisp and 4K. Videos look beautiful, the connectivity is really good as well, this monitor can serve as a hub for you. It's a perfect solution for a mobile worker or someone who would prefer to work on their own device, people with smaller apartments that might not have room for a larger monitor, etc. For me it's so lovely because as I said, it's portable, 2.2 lbs, which was a must for me, but it's also a large and lovely screen! Also, I called cocopar and someone answered right away. Excellent Tech support!

High Quality, Portable, High-Resolution Monitor, and I LOVE Their Support
This is actually my second portable monitor purchased from cocopar, and I am so enthusiastic about this purchase. A while ago I got a FHD 17-inch portable monitor from them for my son a few months ago, and he had such a good experience that I sought out this brand when shopping for a 4K monitor for myself. I got the monitor on the day promised from Amazon, and was overjoyed with the screen quality when I unpacked it and turned it on. One of the best aspects of this purchase is that they include all the cables that just about anyone would need - HDMI, USB-C, power cables, and power adapter. Even though I only need the USB-C cable to get power and video signal from many of my devices, I have many other options to connect right out of the box. I am also impressed with the build of the panel and the case. It feels sturdy and solid, and the case fits the panel perfectly. It has a narrow bezel all around, except for a bit more of an edge along the bottom. It is great, because the case doubles as a stand, and allows you to prop it up easily to work with next to a laptop or other portable device. With my past purchase, I had the experience of contacting their wonderful customer support. They really go out of their way to help out, explaining how to connect and how to get enough power to the panel to support its maximum brightness. They walked me through the different connection options for my son's laptop, and explained the pros and cons of each option. Instructions are clear, so hopefully you do not need their help, but it is awesome to know it is there. My only complaint is that the USB-C cable for the power adapter is only about 3 feet long, which is short for me. I see in the instructions "contact us if you need longer cables". I am looking forward to contacting them, and I anticipate that they will make this right for me! I appreciate that there are companies like this that create quality products and stand by them in terms of support. Highly recommended.

Excellent Product
This item surpassed my expectations. It is far more lightweight than i thought. its robust body makes it feel sturdy. The slim design with thin bezel edges make it look very sleek. It has great clarity for both photos and videos. The multiple connectivity options is simply brilliant. there is no lag or flicker even then using just the USB C cable to the thunderbolt on my laptop. What i dont like is the case that if not careful you can make tumble off the magnetic sleeve. there whoudl have been a more reinforced attachment to give comfort. Overall a great product.

Expensive, but worth it.
I got this monitor because I needed to make the best use of the space I had on a small standing desk. I got rid of a 24 inch 1920x1080 monitor and replaced it with this 17 inch 4K monitor and have been very pleased. I am about 2 feet away from this monitor and can use it at 175% magnification and get 4 windows of useful information that I can see clearly. On the 24 inch 1080P monitor I could maybe get one and a half windows, and text looked jagged. It is a lot easier on the eyes to have clear text without any blurriness or jagged letters. There is a big jump in price when you go to 17 inches and 4k up from the smaller screens and lower resolutions, but in my case the usefulness has been worth the extra cost. Other things I like are the brightness and the matt coating on the display. The monitor comes with a lot of accessories/cables. Using the power adapter that is included, you can crank the brightness up all the way to 10, which gets really bright. I'm using it in a very bright room full of windows and lights and use it on level 9- level 10 is almost too bright for me indoors. If you don't plug in the extra power adapter it can still be used just from the power off of your computers USB C port, but the brightness will only go up to 4 or 5. That is still bright enough to use indoors without a lot of outside light but would be dim to try to use outside. The only issues I have had with it was trying to get it to work with a Surface Dock. For some reason I had a hard time getting the monitor to work consistently with the dock video output. I initially thought it was an issue with the monitor but plugging it directly into my computer it worked perfectly, so at this point I'm blaming the dock since the monitor has been rock solid through the computer output. On the service front I did have an issue with the monitor showing a blue screen and I called the phone number on the card that came in the package. Someone answered in a couple of rings, and when I explained what I needed help with they were able to help get the problem resolved efficiently. Also there was a choice of 4 items as a bonus you can ask for when you register for the 3 year warranty. I chose the power bank that was offered, but they gave me a link to Amazon showing it was out of stock, and instead gave me a $30 credit to my PayPal account. Ultimately, I would highly recommend the monitor. It has been just what I needed.

Very nice, well made, the perfect 4K portable solution !

Great 4K portable monitor
After a few 15" portable monitors, I decided to upgrade to a 17" in order to get more screen real estate when on the go, and also to match the 17" of my new Dell XPS 17 laptop. I didn't need touch as the Dell has touch support on the internal screen. The picture quality is great, I appreciate the full size HDMI input in addition to the power only and power+display USB-C, as well as mini-displayport. I don't use the USB ports, so I can't comment on that. I can use a single USB-C cable with one of my TB4 ports on the XSP 17 as long as I keep brightness low (1-3), anything above that you need a second power cable going to the USB-C power adaptor to provide the 15-18W that the monitor needs at full brightness. The screen also works fine with the TB3 ports of my MBP 13 2018. It comes with a foldable cover that does the job and can be used as a stand in a pinch, but I normally I use a Sirui portable stand with an Arnarkok holder to have the Cocopar screen above the laptop screen as that works best for me (the external screen is at eye height and centered, which is better for my neck). Cocopar's service is great! I had issues with a previous 15" monitor (the product was fine, it was just not compatible with my desktop) and they were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. It definitely played a part in deciding to go for this 17". It's quite expensive, but it's worth the money, at least for my use. Highly recommended if you need a large portable screen that looks great. 17" over 15" is a significant difference, and at that screen size 4K is definitely a visible improvement over 1080p.

Amazingly Clear
This is a really smart piece of kit. Before I got this I did not think that the difference between a normal screen (1920 x 1080) and a 4K screen (3840 x 2160) would make so much difference. In terms of text documents I can read very small text clearly since the screen is only about 40 cm away from my eyes. I have been using this daily for over two months now. The main thing I use it for is microscopy. I used to think that my 18 mega-pixel camera on my microscope was not that clear until I saw the images on a 4K screen. They really are incredible. The colours are nice and well replicated. I have the screen mounted on a desktop stand using VESA screws in the back. Easy to do. As I do not have much desk space, this screen is ideal for my purposes. It is a solid construction. I don't intend to transport it around but it does come with a cover to protect it if I need it.

Expensive but good
I need a portable monitor which can double as a second screen for my Windows laptop at work. I looked at cheaper models in the ยฃ125-150 range but opted for this one for the promise of a bright 4k sharp screen and decided to pay the premium. I needed help to set it up and had to buy an extra HDMI cable. Once set up and configured for use I am happy with it though I am not sure that I can fully justify the price premium for a relatively small 17" screen as I only use the screen for work documents and occasional video browsing. The build quality seems solid.

First Class Quality
You get what you pay for! I 'blew up' my last additional monitor for my 17.5" Laptop and needed a replacement. Initially went cheaper but the brightness and resolution were not of acceptable quality. So, I dug deeper into to piggy bank and splashed out on this seeing the higher resolution. I was not disappointed! The screen oozes quality, was simple to connect and gives excellent and match resolution for my laptop. It will power up from the laptop but I chose not to as the brightness was far superior from an external power source. All cables provided.
