Dr. Woods Skin Lightening English Rose Bar Soap with Organic Shea Butter, 5.25 Ounce

Initially bought one to try it out. The exfoliation is remarkably aggressive and it’s not really emphasised in the product description. I read one review where someone was using this on their face and I can’t even imagine. There are even some days where I lather the soap in my hands and rub it in on my body because the exfoliating beads are so aggressive for everyday. All that aside, I like the soap. It replaces a liquid exfoliating body wash and another bar of soap for me. The fragrance isn’t too strong for me, either. Got a three pack after trying the one which is better value. I’m melaninated, so it’s good on my elbows and knees. Keeps my feet nice.

Any uneven skin tones are slowly vanishing! Soap feels good, lasts a long time and is nicely scented.

At first, I LOVED this soap - the smell is absolutely wonderful, and I loved the thick and rich lather and how soft my skin felt afterwards. However, after daily use, I noticed after two or three weeks that not only were my arms and shoulders still the same shade as before (or if lighter, minimally so), but my arms were breaking out into these odd, red, slightly painful bumps that went away as I stopped using it. I don't know if it's the apricot kernels or what, but I didn't like that. Also, the smaller the bar of soap gets, the less and less my skin feels soft and the lather isn't as rich. I bought this hoping it would lighten my skin, but it really hasn't. I once paid less than two dollars for a bar of soap from India called "Fair and Lovely" (how I wish I could find it!) that effectively and noticeably lightened my skin even before the small bar was gone. `

I absolutely love this soap. I’m actually leaving a review because I am ordering more. It’s great. I have tan skin and you can literally see my entire life on it! From mosquito bites to the burn from my flat iron years ago! With that said, I am extremely confident that everything will even out now. I have been using the soap for about 1 month now and my knees and underarms are even with my skin tone. Also, I had stretch marks from pregnancy and they have lightened up significantly. I think I am going to order a loofah and use it in conjunction with this soap.

What I like about Dr Woods, is that it's all natural & nothing harmful to your body. I've tried brightening soaps & it felt like they stripped my skin & left my skin feeling dry. This soap is exfoliating & smells like rose as the description says. I would give 5 stars, but unfortunately the soap doesn't last more than a month (if you use it everyday), so expect to buy more quicker than regular soap.. The soap does leave your skin dry after your shower, but some lotion will fix that. I've noticed some fading of my scars on my face.. I haven't seen much Lightning.As far as the delivery, it was before on time.I do like this soap & I will continue to purchase. Maybe it take different people to notice the time of results! Try it out!

As soon as I put it on my face, it burned my skin... the burning did not stop even after I washed it off with cold water..I was terrified. Thanks god , I always keep my place... Benadryl.. as soon as I put Benadryl on my face, the burning on my face stopped... thanks GOD! I am trying to get rid of freckles, this soap not working at all burned my face!

It lightens the skin , I love love this product. I am a light skin black female. I tried the marie france and sans kogic soap. The soaps work slowly.I use them on and off. but. I came across this soap by accident. I have been using for a week, I swear I am 2 shades. Lighter. I live that my darkMarkets on my stubborn dark marks are almost gone. I have tried every thing. The other soaps helped but it was not perfect.I found thus soap by accident, I can not believe that my new routine and my new found bleaching cream has made be look gorgeous.I love this soap. I have placed 2 more orders. I love my lighter skin, really. I want to get lighter and this is working FAST.......

This soap does what it says. I have a toffee colored skin tone with some dark discoloration on my cheek from the sun. I wear makeup to cover it up. I've been using and searching for products that lightens up those areas without bleaching my skin. I've used this product for a week and I can already see those areas getting light. My skin also has a glow to it. It also faded my tan. I read a post about this product breaking them out. If you are using other products on your skin you may want to just use the soap alone. I noticed a little breakout but it went away within a day after I stopped using my other products. I love this product and will be purchasing more.
