Can this product be applied using a hand pump sprayer? What is the typical coverage area for 1 gallon?

I used it to seal rocks on my pool waterfall and used a small brush because I didn't want overspray in my pool and I wanted to be sure that I didn't miss any spots.   This sealant is very watery and I believe it says you may use a pump sprayer.  I believe it would work in a handheld garden sprayer because it is a very thin watery substance.  I don't have the instructions but you can go to their website and read the product specifications.  I'm not sure how far the gallon would go but I put 2 coats on my waterfall and covered all the natural stone around my pool coping and still had 10-12 ounces left. I have a salt water pool, my husband talked with a company representative and recommended this product.  I've been pleased with the results so far.  Also, this product does not have any sheen to it and did not change the color or appearance of the stone, which is exactly what I wanted. Goodluck!

What is the difference between silioxa-tek 8500  vs. lithi-tec 9500 ?-tex

Silica-tek 8500 is a repellent to protect masonry and concrete from water, chlorides and de-icing salt damage. Lithi-tek 9500 is a sealer/densifier used to strengthen concrete and seal it from water damage. It is not intended to be used to prevent de-icing salt damage. Hope this helps!

Does this product provide any slip resistance?

Accepted Answer

No. If you get freezing rain in your area, it is VERY slippery and requires using sand. Don't use salt or any chemicals. You might ruin the protection.

what is the coverage when applied with roller

Accepted Answer

Coverage is still similar at roughly 250 sq ft per gallon.  You may experience some difficulty with a roller being how thin a liquid this is vs a conventional paint.
