Every photographer ends up with at least a few of these, because they are genuinely useful and they do not ask much in return. The aluminum alloy construction keeps the stand light enough to carry to a shoot without complaint while still being rigid enough to hold a softbox, umbrella, or strobe confidently at full height. The three leg stages spread wide for a stable base, and the thumbscrew clamps tighten down securely at each section. Sections slide smoothly and adjustment is quick. At 75 inches fully extended it covers the height range most portrait and product setups need. Folded down it packs small and pairs well with a carry bag for location work. The realistic caveat: this stand is sized for light to medium loads. A heavy monolight with a large softbox at full extension deserves a sandbag on the legs. Within those sensible limits it has been completely reliable. For the price, the build quality is better than expected and it holds up well over repeated use. A solid, unpretentious stand that earns its spot in any photo kit.

It's a light stand. It's cheap. It's not going to hold up a big light and massive modifier at full height--but if you don't have a gigantic rig like that, this thing works great. I have a little Falcon Eyes SO-28TD LED light. This Neewer light stand is perfect for it. Just like the product description says--it extends to 6' has a good stable base, folds up nice and small--overall a great little stand. The only thing I wish it had was a carry case--but hey--it's small enough I can toss it in the trunk of my car and take it with me on a shoot--so no biggie. If you need a decent quality, inexpensive light stand--go with Neewer--you won't be disappointed.

Just bought this along with the Neewer Ring Light and together they really work so well. This stand is adjustable in so many ways and I find that it is super simple and easy to use. It is also very light weight, which makes it perfect for traveling! It stores up nicely by folding into a small, approx 2 feet long stick, which makes it ideal for traveling. The legs also fold in and have a lock to lock them in place. The only con is that due to its light weight, it is a bit flimsy when it is expanded to full length, but it is not super noticeable unless you purposely wiggle it, and I do not generally operate it at full height, so it work very well for my purposes!!

This light is awesome!!!! It's super bright, but the dimmer it's perfect. I makes working as a freelance makeup artist much better, and the light it's so good that tow can work at the same time with even light!!!! It's easy to travel with, if you travel by play this wil be your carry on, keep that in mind. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars it's because the light bulb came broke the first time due to poor packaging, and it didn't say it was a fragile item. I had to repurchase the light bulb, but Amazon gave me a refund for it, and that came perfectly packaged, so 5 stars to Amazon's costumer service.

Replaced my broken Neewer tripod on my ring light. It's pretty heavy duty, I like it better than the tripod this light came with. Probably cause its an older model. It locks perfectly, no issues there.

I had received an old light from a friend of mine, but he had kept all his stands as he still needed them. I bought this so I had something to attatch the light to and was really happy with how it has all worked out. The stand is durable and strong enough to hold the heavy light, but I do need at least one or two sandbags to garauntee it wont fall over. Still havent had that happen yet though, with or without the sandbags. So keeping my fingers crossed. It shipped fast so that was great and it was fully ready to go as soon as it arrived. The top did look like the light might not connect properly to stay on, but I was quickly proven wrong as soon as I tried to set it all up. I am extremely satisfied with this stand and surprised with how nice of a quality product it is.

this stand goes up really high, so it's very tall, very professional, very sturdy, easy to use, fits on my ring light perfectly and very stable.

Although this item works well I was a little bit surprised to receive a product with a good amount of rust on it! I can understand that metal does rust but for a new product to have so much rust I was a little disappointed. Otherwise this is a very strong durable light stand. I have used it for my flashes and a ring light and it is my most reliable light stand besides my C Stands but those C stands do cost an arm and a leg. I think Neewer needs a little bit more QC for this product but otherwise good item just a little bit disappointed which is why i docked 1.5 stars from this rating and another half as the spring action on mine was also not very good which may be because of the rust but i am not sure.

Stable, tall. Perfect height for Neewer lighting products. Be ware, the stand itself is not six feet but reaches six feet when paired with product. Beautiful light design. Would buy again if I needed another light.

Una muy buena opción si lo que buscas es algo no muy caro, pero de calidad. Tenía mis dudas antes de comprarlo, pero cuando me llegó, quedé satisfecho, la estabilidad es buena y la resistencia también. El uso en exteriores es un poco inestable es necesario que alguien te apoye para que no se caiga y más si hace viento. Pero en general me gusto mucho.

This is a well-built light stand in When you extend the various main parts of a stand and screw it in, they hold very well. I've never had a problem with this, and it's always been reliable. If I'm using something heavy, I find that using a sandbag from the same company helps well to make sure it doesn't fall over.
