Would have been a great idea. Rod fits into the holster well but the problem is it doesn't stay put. Besides the actual belt clip, there is no other place to secure the holster. As a result you have to keep your hand on the rod/holster to keep it from tilting in every direction. Will need to keep looking for something else.

The media could not be loaded.  This rod holder is pretty smart idea. It easily clips on to your belt without needing to take off your belt to thread it through.Very convenient to have as a extra set of hands while tying your lines, lure or attach you live baits.The clip on that can swivel 360 degree, but I think it needs to be stronger or at least to able to lock in certain angle. As you can see in the video even though I have a light extendable today it will just automatically rotate itself back straight up instead of keeping at the angle I wanted so I can tie up my lure.I also use this to hold my action camera on its extendable tripod.

This is an amazing Boga holster. Seems like it would work for fishing pole. But seriously use it for your boga
