Nissin Chow Mein Noodles, Teriyaki Chicken, 4 Ounce (Pack of 8)

This was my first time trying these, and I was so surprisingly impressed by the taste! This flavor is absolutely delicious and has easily become my new favorite. For anyone managing low-energy days, this is a perfect pantry staple. It is highly convenient, fully portable so you can take it anywhere, and takes just a little bit of water and a few minutes in the microwave to cook. You get a really good amount of food for a great price. My only minor note for other buyers is to keep an eye on the expiration dates. The ones I recently received have about a three-month shelf life. However, that is definitely not going to be a problem for me because they are so good that I am having to control myself from eating them all at once! I already need to order more. I am excited to try other options from the brand, but this one will always be stocked in my kitchen. 5 out of 5!

I love these when you don’t feel like cooking they’re quick and easy. Very tasty. And if you put some frozen vegetables. in some boiling water for a little bit and then take them and mix them in with this. It’s so good.

Some people want to know what the protein content is like in Cup Noodles.. I mean if the suggested is asking how much meat is in these? I really can't say that I notice any meat.. there are some and very little chopped vegetables in the soup.. but meat is not really common. I buy entire cases at a time and I've never been overwhelmed with the quantities of chicken bits in the soup. These are very basic meals, moderately bland, and honestly, I add flavor, protein, and vegetables to my soup to enhance the quality. I think as a basic ramen that you can easily cook and then add things to they're really great but if you're looking to substantiate meals with these? No, I can't say that they're going to satisfy you like other comparable brands. On the other hand the sodium content is low, the noodles themselves are a nice flavor, and for just a basic snack I really love them. I really like that they're not in Styrofoam cups, it makes me feel safer about microwaving them and they feel somewhat larger in size than maruchan and some other smaller cups. Some competitors have better protein content, veg content, and overall flavor, but they can be up to 10 times the price... So value wise I think this is an amazing cup of soup that I feel good about buying because I supplement additional flavor and ingredients as I have available and see fit.

Super easy to make, add water, microwave. Actually tastes pretty good!! -Make sure not to add too much water or it goes from noodles to soup real fast. Follow the instructions and fill to line. I will remove the noodles and flavor packets from the provided casing, put in a ziplock bag and use as the base of my camping food. As you can see from the labels not many calories so I can easily eat two of these with some added meat/veggies to fill me when camping. Does make a fairly decent snap lunch though in a pinch. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because there is not much too it. Most people would still be hungry after 1 of these if you don't add anything to it but as mentioned above, the flavor is spot on.

Pros: The Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Noodle Soup, Chicken, Microwaveable Paper Cup, 2.25 Ounce (Pack of 12) has an updated cup that feels sturdier and looks nicer than the old packaging. Moving away from styrofoam is a big plus for me since that material is hard to recycle and always felt wasteful to throw away. I grew up eating these as a kid, and now my daughter loves them too. We have tried other flavors, but the original chicken always ends up being our favorite. It is such an easy meal to make, and I especially like having a warm broth option to go alongside a bigger meal when we want something extra. We also bring the Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Noodle Soup, Chicken, Microwaveable Paper Cup, 2.25 Ounce (Pack of 12) with us when we travel, just in case my kids are not fans of the local food wherever we are visiting. It is comforting to have a backup on hand, and all it takes is hot water to make, which is so convenient at a hotel or anywhere else. The microwave directions are quick too, ready in about 2:15 minutes. This has been a great staple to keep stocked in our pantry, especially at such an affordable price for a pack of 12. Cons: The cup itself is on the smaller side, so it works better as a snack or a side than as a full meal for bigger appetites in our house. It is also still a processed convenience food, so we treat it as an occasional easy option rather than something we eat every day.
