Fits well with a tap from a rubber hammer
These worked pretty good on twenty five 2x2 dock posts. The trick for me was to hammer them in with a rubber mallet. They are too tight a fit to push in, once started I could get them seated easily. A metal few post tops were bent out of shape. For those, I either cut off one side of ribs or just sliced the corners on one side to bend them in then hammered them home.

Works well for the purpose
Used these to seal the ends of some metal saw horses I welded . Advantage is these can be removed if necessary.

These worked great to replace caps on weight bench & rack
We have some very old weirder weight equipment that sat in the garage and the caps just disintegrated over the years. These little replacements worked perfect we got the 2 inch and they fit snug with a little tap of the mallet.
