OK for price.
I have the Medela Pump In Style and this pump. I have been breastfeeding for 5.5 months and when I realized it would be easier to leave my PIS at work, I got this pump to use at home for occasional use. I also have a Medela handpump (Harmony).I do not recommend this pump. It takes much longer to get half as much. The suction is just not the same mechanism and very very different from the PIS. It is a lot of plastic and parts and am impressed that you can get so much stuff for this price. However, I think that I am better off just using my hand pump. I just pumped and I don't really feel empty and think I'm going to use the hand pump to do it again.I think that this pump can be detrimental to your supply because it doesn't really empty you. In my case, I guess I MIGHT use it again if I need to because I have already made it to 5.5 months and if my supply goes down slightly it is OK but if this is your only pump or you are trying to build up your supply because you are just starting out, this is absolutely the wrong pump for you. Some mothers just sneeze and milk comes out. I'm not one of those moms. I suspect many of the moms here who like this pump are one of those people who don't have to pump that hard to get lots of milk. If you aren't sure of your supply or know that you need to depend on this pump regularly, don't waste your money on it.*************UPDATE- I changed from 2 stars to 4 stars. I just started using this thing and I don't know if I just got used to it or what but I think it does the job. I still don't think it is as good as my Medela but I didn't pay nearly as much and for what I paid, I think it has good value. My baby is 10 months now and I'm not as concerned about my supply anymore. I have this one at home and the Medela at work and for the once or twice a week times when I need this, it does the job. I wish it had an option to just pump one side but you must always pump both sides.

Great pump for the price!
I have been using this pump to pump at work on my lunch break. I use it 5 days a week for the past 6 months or so. The little tote bag holds all the parts just fine and I keep my bottles in a separate little cooler. It is pretty easy to set up - probably takes me 5 minutes or so.I don't experience much pain when using this pump. If I don't position the shields perfectly, there is a little pinch but completely goes away when adjusted. The suction is best with fresh batteries. It does go through batteries pretty quickly when used daily. I have to pump in my car, so I don't have the option of using the plug. The "T-bar" is helpful, but I am not able to use it with the handle. I kind of have to use my arm to hold the whole thing against myself.I haven't had a problem with the motor, or tubing, or having to replace anything.I really wish they made a car adapter for this so I didn't have to replace the batteries every other week. I also with the manufacturer sold replacement parts. I haven't needed any yet, but if something breaks, I'm screwed.I would buy this pump again. Yes, it has a couple of downsides, but it is a great little pump for the price.

Great Pump for the Money!
I ordered this pump at the advice of a friend and couldn't be happier! I use it four times a day and am able to get 4-5 ounces on average a time (and my baby only takes about 3.5 ounces a bottle). Now, the only other pump I have to compare it to is a hand pump that I used with my other son, so it wouldn't take a whole lot to be better than that! My only complaint is (and this hasn't caused a problem yet) is that I keep getting moisture in the tubing. It hasn't made it into the pump yet, so like I said, it is still working just fine. My thoughts are, even if I have to end up buying a new one (because I do use it four times a day), even buying two of these would be cheaper than the expensive ones and I feel like it does as good a job as I need it to! Totally recommend!UPDATE: Now using the pump FIVE times a day, five days a week. Still working great! The moisture still gets in the tubes, but still hasn't caused any problems.SECOND UPDATE: After seven months of pumping four or five times a day, five days a week, the pump finally gave out. I used it fine twice today and went to use it for the third time and the suction button wouldn't increase, it was stuck on the bottom level. Also, it would not turn off. I just had to unplug it. I had to run out on my lunch break and purchase a new one at Target (I had to pay $10 more than what it costs on Amazon, but I HAD to have it right away!) I did debate buying a different brand, but I knew this one worked, so I did repurchase it. I know this pump is not made to be used as often as I use it, but it was still cheaper to buy two of these than even one of "the other brand". I figure I at least now have extra parts so I don't have to run the dishwasher every night.PS The new pump I bought had a problem with the valve not working. I called The First Years and they are sending me a couple of extras with no questions asked or hoops to jump through. I called to a Friday and they even kept apologizing that it may be Tuesday before I get them. Super nice customer service!
