Learning Microsoft Publisher 2013, Student Edition -- CTE/School 1st Edition

Really great learning tool. I had dabbled with Publisher before, but had not really learned to use it well. Walking through each lesson (in order) was so very helpful. I now put together a monthly club newsletter and feel very confident it how it looks! Well worth the money!

I needed it for class, and it was really cheap.

This is a very good book that takes one through various projects in easy steps. The book is well illustrated and the screen prints are easily readable, which makes the text much easier to follow.But, the begining of Chapter 2, one begins to realise that not everything is included in the book! "Open file PB02Try from the data files for this lesson". These files are available on-line by going to [...] and downloading them for free. Just save them into a separate directory and the rest is plain sailing. Glitch over.From thereon in, enjoy the learning experience.The book is totally American-based but put the Brit filter in and modify to taste.

This is a very detailed step-by-step tutoriall excellent for anyone entirely new to Publisher or those wishing to upgrade their skills from an earlier version.

Learning Microsoft Publisher 2013, Student Edition, purports to be a WEB FRIENDLY program but it lacks basic functions, E.G.: an individual Web Page can not be re sized without that action changing all pages in the Web.When one starts with a BLANK WEB, Publisher 2013 insists on placing a vertical navigation bar on the without the option of placing a horizontal navigation bar on the MASTER PAGE. The choice of PAGE TEMPLATES is barren, even from Microsoft.com.Learning Microsoft Publisher 2013, Student Edition, purports to be a USER FRIENDLY text book but it does not present itself as such. For Example; it is written a classroom "playbook" for student to use with the necessity of an Computer Program Instructor.Neither Learning Microsoft Publisher 2013, Student Edition, nor the Microsoft Publisher 2013 Program are useful and I qualify this by stating that I am retired a a Computer Program Instructor with fifteen years experience ... I tried it only after Microsoft retired Frontpage.

A well constructed text book, easy to follow and you are led through the programme in bite-sized steps. From Chapter 2 onwards one needs to download the student data files mentioned in the introduction. Just go to the web site mentioned and click on Student data files to start the download.The book was written for American students, so apply the Brit filter and enjoy.
