The only Vitamin C supplement we use!
Finally, a truly natural Vitamin C supplement! I was relieved to find a safe alternative to ascorbic acid which uses genetically modified (conventional maize starch based) micro-organisms in it's production. As an added bonus, this stuff is very palatable. I actually enjoy it mixed in a glass of water and it goes undetected in my children's smoothies. It mixes easily, I just stir with the spoon I scooped it with.I've had no issues taking this in higher doses, unlike other C Supplements, it's never caused loose bowels or upset stomach.Thank you Healthforce for offering such a high quality product! We added this one to our 'Subscribe & Save' subscription.

Great supplement, but prices are going WAY UP!!
I love all the HEALTHFORCE brand supplements. They are the best you can buy, problem is- you now have to take out a 2nd mortgage to BUY THEM!! Come on.... I thought the founders motto was"I don't want anyone to go without the life saving benefits of these foods/supplements due to not being able to afford them" & ethics not MONEY is his 1ST priority ( close enough, read the site!) well, umm.. A lot of us CAN'T afford your supplements anymore!! So how about kicking in those "ETHICS" & lowering the price! Hmmmm, yea, that's gonna happen, lol. Great products, they really are. My daughter thrives on vitamineral green vcaps! She can focus & is doing better in school since she has been on them. But at almost $60 a bottle of 400 pills ( 12 or more a DAY!) it's killing my budget. I think more ppl would like to eat healthy & take great supplements , IF they could only afford it ;(

Great product but grams of vitamin c not listed
In line with other reviewers here, I believe this is a good quality product. Dissolves easily, glass bottle, taste's ok, so why the 3 star review??? When purchasing this product, I believed it contained 171 grams of vitamin c. Only after going to the manufacturer's website did I get the real skivvy. I don't think anybody here is trying to misrepresent anything, just that what's listed may lead to some wrong conclusions about what amounts of vitamin c is contained in this product. If the information I provide below was clear on the Amazon listing, I would not have bumped down the stars on this review. The information listed on Health Force Nutritional's website about the actual vitamin c content led to my disappointment, not in the quality but the quantity of vitamin c contained in the bottle. The recommended serving is given as 1 and 1/2 teaspoons. That serving will contain 5.4 grams of product ("read" vitamin c powder"). So that means there are 31 servings per bottle. In other words, 1 teaspoon of this product does not equal 1000 grams of vitamin c. As explained on the manufacturer's website, 1.5 teaspoons of this powder (which is 5.4 grams of the product) will deliver 302 milligrams of vitamin c. So, using an online calculator, I get the following. Roughly 9.4 grams of vitamin c is contained in a product that claims to have 171 grams of powder. So, if you want to take, say, 1000 milligrams of vitamin c (a gram) in a glass of water, you would have to dissolve (approximately) over 4.5 teaspoons of this powder in the glass. To reiterate, my disappointment is not in the quality of the product but an incorrect assumption I made when purchasing that this bottle contained 171 grams of vitamin c. It doesn't. It contains 171 grams of vitamin c powder. It takes 5.4 grams of this powder to yield about a THIRD of a gram of vitamin c. Doing some more quick math here, let's just say I wanted to take one gram of vitamin c a day using Healthforce's Truly Natural Vitamin C powder. Doing that, I'd have 9 days of product here. In other words, this product (the 171 gram bottle) contains roughly only NINE GRAMS of Vitamin C. That's about 1.77 (dollars) per gram of vitamin c! If you wanted to use this product for "megadosing" and aimed at 5 grams of vitamin c a day, this bottle would not even get you two complete days of dosing!

Great real vitamin c.
Real vitamin c! That means you can take high levels without the side effects of ascorbic acid (which is often synthesized from gmo corn in a lab in New Jersey-referenced from the book "the hundred year lie")...you know loose stools...which is your body's response to expelling the molecular look alike which does little for your need for real vitamin c.I really like this powdered form, it's possible to mix into water or natural gelatinous I make for my family when they are sick. I never heat this vitamin c and I store it in the refrigerator. We use this a lot when we feel ill and we have short illnesses if we get sick at all.

Great Source of Full Complex Vitamin C
Its hard to find a good source of real, full complex, Vitamin C, even harder to find a quality source of Acerola cherry but Healthforce has it and its not at a bad price. It lasted a lot longer then I expected and is great for smoothies. In my experience, you don't need to add more than a teaspoon unless you making a drink for a couple people.

Not your regular C powder
Why do folks take a perfectly good product and think they can make it better? Ego perhaps? Money?I've been buying Health Force Vitamin C powder for over ten years. It's been great, dissolves easily, no noticeable flavor and goes down like water.Imagine my surprise when I scooped out the powder from my new bottle last week. It wasn't so much that it looked different , very different. It was in the drinking. It had a mouth feel. It wasn't anything close to water. It had a texture, not quite flour, not quite slime. I would have to say sludge. And taste. Can't describe the taste other than to say, "Leave my fabulous Health Force Vitamin C powder alone!"I dumped the contents of the $50 bottle in the trash as I couldn't return an opened bottle. I did, however, recycle the bottle. Glad I'm only working 20% so I didn't have to dump the large bottleI usually purchase.

This stuff is usually SO good. I'm not sure if the new formula is less strong than the older one but I just bought this a few months ago after a few years of not taking it and I needed to double the amount I use to take for it to make a difference in my skin and hair. Looking for something else.
