Fun World Heart Jello Mold Halloween Decoration - Make Your Own Gelatin Hearts - Terrify Your Friends, Kids and Halloween Party Guests

I had a Halloween emergency (makeup artist life) and I needed a heart ASAP. Sculpting my own was leading to messy lumps I did not want to stamp my name on. Did you know buying a realistic fake heart can cost about $50 or MORE? Which lead me to buying this mold. I figured I could make my own gelatin mix and just paint it. So I did. It came out gorgeous and so realistic. It's not THAT realistic since it's bigger than a real heart, but made my eating heart photo shoot a success! Thanks to Amazon it came super fast too, the only thing I recommend for life like appearances is not filling it all the way. I set mine in an ice bath to set faster and the shrinkage made it easy to slide out and then paint. I honestly have NO idea if this method will work for actual Jello so don't blame me if it doesn't work for you. Mix pink and plain jello for a life like color and cover in strawberry syrup blood ;p

This jello mold turned out to be a lot nicer than I expected. It is very durable and sturdy with lots of detail. I did not try the standard jello jiggler receipe. I added a pack of unflavored gelatin to the jiggler receipe because I needed mine to really be firm and they had to last the week while I made enough for the whole class (bought 2 molds and popped them out every 8 hrs). I think each mold used 3 boxes of jello so warning you will need to buy lots of jello. They do not have a "flat" side so I placed them in a cake pan and just packed some kitchen towels around them to keep them standing up while they set up in the frig. Also found it works out better if I sprayed them with oil first. We used them in my anatomy class and had the kids place a colored stick through their jello heart to mark the spot we where discussing . It was a fun project and everyone loved the jello heart.

I haven't got to use it yet but it's very sturdy and looks like it will do wonderful, I'm excited to try it out for my Halloween cake this year. Also was delivered fast and can't beat the price.

The gelatin heart mold is as creepy as I had hoped it would be. The mold is sturdy and in great condition. I love it! I used a combination of red and purple jello. The finished product was easily removed from the mold. The challenging part was figuring out how to balance it in the refrigerator once filled. To do that, I balanced it between two one-pound bricks of butter. Worked like a charm. At the end of an Edgar Allan Poe unit of study for middle school students, I will make 6 of these to represent The Tell-Tale Heart. Great item!

This mold is the perfect size. Easy to use and add detail to. This is just for the top half. Overall great product to use with fondant or chocolate.

The mold comes out very very nice. But if someone could let me know how you're supposed to get the jello to actually sit in the mold, it would be greatly appreciated. Because as you can see, the only flat part of the mold is the open part. And it simply will not stay straight up by resting it on the opposite side. We were able to balance it in a Tupperware bowl, but we just happened to be lucky we had one that fit correctly. I don't know if I can explain this in a clearer way, but hopefully I've given you a good enough warning. Overall, if you can think of a way to have it balance, it's PERFECT. Very realistic and cool (especially with the interesting colors you could use. But it's extremely difficult to use.

I got this to make chocolate hearts for Halloween and it worked great! I filled them with stickers, candy, and other surprises.
