After trying a lot of different facial serums, I've found that most tend to do certain things rather well. Of course, there are some that are better than others. This facial serum sits at the top, along with a very few others, that actually make my face look a lot younger than my actual age. It softens the skin much like the others, but what I'm finding is that it does a whole lot more for diminishing the lines on my face. Most do soften fine lines. It's those deeper lines that most can't do much about. What really impressed me was how this serum actually softened a small area I have of much deeper lines. Can't say that they disappeared, but there were less lines and those that remained were so much lighter and the area around them was lifted.Usually when a serum is good at firming up the face, I can feel it tightening. It feels like it's drying the skin, even though that's not what it's doing. I have very little of that feeling with this serum. Only just enough to know that it was there and working.It works great with my other skincare products and caused me no irritation at all. It's not oily, greasy, sticky or tacky. Makes my face glow without any sort of oily shine.A very impressive serum that I believe is just as good for daytime use as it is for nighttime. Should be good for all skin types and it's suitable for both men and women.

I guess I lead a sheltered life because I have never heard of Germaine de Capuccini, but then again, I don't visit high-end spas. 🙃Regardless, I like this product! I like the applicator. I like the way it feels on my skin and leaves it with a healthy glow. It moisturizes well and leaves no tacky residue.Time will tell if my friends ask me if I found the Fountain of Youth! 🙂I hope you find this review helpful!

but I found the directions. When I was opening this, I noticed that the cellophane was covering a box that is in a sleeve. The outer sleeve is different in very small ways and looks more costly than the inner box. Anyway, the directions say to apply to clean skin before the night cream. I should see results in 8 days. It went on nicely and it is a nice sized bottle for drops.

Very soft, smooth serum that genuinely does work to soften fine lines and even some harsh creases, especially when used in combination with other products/tools that help target age reversal. So why am I so rough on the review rating?Let's talk price point right off the bat: Despite being experienced with skin care and many upscale/professional brands, Germaine de Capuccini is one I had not heard of. Upon looking it up, it appears this is a brand self-stylized as being high class, mostly retailed in luxury boutiques, hotels, and spas. The ingredients list isn't difficult to find, despite what one dramatic reviewer referred to as "detective work." It's googling the product + the word "ingredients" and clicking on a web page, so I guess I cracked that case.However the ingredients list doesn't stand out as anything particularly stellar; it uses standard stabilizers and humectants, peppers in a few standouts (squalane honestly being the most impressive). There are no peptides and no stem cells in this product to drive the price up, either. And high atop of the list, is dimethicone (silicone). I find this extremely disappointing. At this price point, silicones are, to be perfectly honest, largely unacceptable, especially so close to the top of the ingredient list.Not just that: broken down, the primary ingredients in this serum are essentiallly silicone, glycerin, shea butter, sunflower oil, and water. This combo is going to make this product glide on smooth, feel as though it's melting into your skin, appear to deliver results, and give the impression of lasting. However, the truth is that all that will do is give your skin the temporary appearance of line smoothing, with results that could last as long as a week or more - but the moment you stop using this product, your face will begin to fall, possibly harder and with more lines than you had already. That's because while it's making you look youthful, plumped, and hydrated on the surface, the silicones are also reducing/interfering with cell turnover and allowing debris and oils to get trapped in your pores. Worst of all, it's inhibiting your other expensive products from ever reaching through to your skin's repair zone, essentially invalidating all of the other work you're doing.I ordered this product to test despite the ingredient list not being on the Amazon page. That's because, at $171, I expected to receive a serum high in peptides, stem cells, hydroquinone even. I'm thinking the enclosed serum is liquid gold as if it's going to bring real repair to my skin's deeper layers, I'm hoping for some resurfacing or ingredients that encourage rapid cell turnover; I'm absolutely NOT thinking it's a cheap combo of filler ingredients with a sprinkling of simple humectants that can't even reach my skin as a result of the two forms of silicone contained herein. It is a BOLD move to price this product this high, but it appears the image is working for this brand and, hey, I can't knock the hustle, so you get a star for that. But the product isn't worth purchasing at all. If this was a $35 serum, it would be serviceable as a temporary lifting product or maybe an affordable "line-disguising" serum, but it's not something that's going to make a significant or lasting impact on your age-reversal or age prevention system. Not recommended.

Do you know Germaine de Capuccini. I do have a neighbor named Germaine yet Capuccini is not how to spell that satisfying coffeehouse drink. Featured in high end boutiques and five star hotels, Germaine de Capuccini’s extensive line actually hails from Spain and is named after Capucine, the stunning French model of the 1960s. It’s founder is the late Algerian born and Paris bred, Carmen Vidal. However, what about this newly introduced $101 an ounce SRNS Night Progress Serum—is it worth it?As you’d expect, the packaging is exquisite and highly gift worthy. However, at any price, we urge the good folks at the company to list the full ingredients list here since so many of us want to know exactly what’s going on our beautiful faces. Disappointingly, a detective journey to the company website listing does not reveal the list for this product, either. The actual list is extensive, and a mix of natural and lab-oriented emollients, including commonly used Glycerin and Cyclopentasilxane. About two-thirds down from the top of the ingredients hierarchy is Sodium Hyaluronate. . As you may know, Sodium Hyaluronate, a derivative of Hyaluronic Acid, is also described as the “salt of the acid.” Worthy Squalane is also midway down the list. It smooths and hydrates skin, helping to reduce the signs of aging.Thus, lots of status is included, yet everyday ingredients. In the middle of the list is the preservative Phenoxyethanol. It may be of concern to some. There have been reports of uncommon reactions to phenoxyethanol being quite rarely linked to eczema and strong allergic reactions. Phenoxyethanol use is often strongly discouraged by safe cosmetics advocates to be used around infants including those who are breast feeding. Studies indicate this preservative should be avoided around the youngest of children. Those who wish to learn more and make the best personal decision regarding this ingredient may consider doing an online search for “phenoxyethanol safety.” Given this uncertainty, this is one reason why it is always important to consult your dermatologist first before embarking on any new regimen.Keep in mind that several beauty brands include phenoxyethanol. Reactions are uncommon.

Overall, the product is okay. It glides onto the skin nicely. It feels silky smooth (thanks to the silicones in it). But, my skin doesn’t feel extra hydrated, I haven’t noticed any difference after using it for a month, let alone 7 days. I don’t like rating things based on price, but when it comes to something at this price point, I feel like it’s going to play a part in the decision, at least for me it would. And for me, the ingredients and effects resulting from this product just aren’t there to justify this price point. Honestly, even if it was way cheaper (like $20), I still wouldn’t purchase it. There’s so many great skincare products out there that are waaaaaay cheaper that I’ve actually seen results from. So, I can’t recommend this.I wanted to love this.....A serum for $171 (at the time of writing this review), I figured this had to have some pretty special stuff in it. I mean, it must have some kind of magic potion in it that reverses time and makes me look like I’m 20 years old again. Right? So that means there has to be something in it that makes it worth a higher price. And it has to be something amazing to make it worth a price as high as $171 for 1.7 oz of product! Right?! Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case.The info for this product on the Amazon product page is seriously LACKING! On the top of the product page where there’s usually some bullet points with info, there’s nothing. You scroll down a little and there’s a small paragraph. It claims to “rejuvenate your skin in 7 days.” That’s a HUGE claim! Most skin care product I use and have tried usually say to use consistently for a month or so before you’ll see results. So, to claim to see results in 7 days is huge. Looking at this product on the company’s website, it states that clinical tests were done “under dermatological control on 29 volunteers aged between 35 and 60, including sensitive skin.” It states that 81% had “skin more radiant, luminous and revitalised ,” 81% had “visibly rejuvenated skin,” and “in 1 month all the signs of aging are visibly corrected.” Again, some HUGE claims, but it seems 81% is the lucky number 🤨The ingredients weren’t included on the product page. All it says is, “The new anti-ageing serum includes an innovative active ingredient that multiplies by 8 the power of absorption(2) of your skin, making the serum penetrate deeper.” Ummmm....what?! I don’t know about you, but that description is not helpful in any way! I’m not even totally sure I get what it’s trying to say. It includes an innovative active ingredient....why not say what that innovative active ingredient is? This innovative active ingredient multiplies by 8 the power of absorption of your skin. What on earth is that supposed to mean? “...multiplies by 8 the power of absorption of your skin...” I take it to mean that this ingredient multiplies the absorption of your skin by the power of 8, so 8 times. Looking at the company’s website and the info for this product on there, most of it says the same things but some parts are said differently, which makes it seem clearer, at least to me. It states, “...includes an innovative active ingredient that increases 8 times the power of absorption(2) of your skin making the serum penetrate deeper...” So, that definitely makes me think it’s saying it increases absorption of your skin 8 times. But, it just would be nice if they stated that in a way that was a little clearer.The paragraph description on the product page also says that the innovative active ingredient that increases the absorption power of your skin 8 times makes “the serum penetrate deeper and activate the capacity of self-protection during the day and unfold all its power of regeneration by night, working in a synchronized way and thus achieving more visible results in less time.” It does state you use the serum morning and night. But, I wondered how the heck the serum would know to work differently in the day than it does at night. How would it know to activate self-protection during the day and start regenerating at night? It states that, “At night, when you sleep and while your skin is more receptive, it repairs damage, reactivates cellular regeneration and rejuvenates your skin. By day it increases the resistance of cells to oxidative stress and protects the skin defending it against external aggression.” Again, I don’t really see how it would know to do something different at night than it does during the day? But, I’m not a scientist so it could just be beyond my understanding!It sure would be nice to know what they believe is this innovative ingredient, because looking at the Amazon product page it doesn’t mention much, let alone what this innovative ingredient is. Looking at the product on the company’s website it states “NEW AND REVOLUTIONARY FORMULA. 22 ACTIVE INGREDIENTS.” It goes on to state that the serum incorporates “Glyco 8-Power biomolecules that generate small vesicles that trap inside them the active ingredients of the formula. Their great affinity for the lipids of the skin make them penetrate easily, liberating the content inside, increasing by 8 the capacity of absorption and multiplying the benefits of the serum on your skin.” I have no clue what “glyco 8-power biomolecules” are and doing a search on Google doesn’t explain it either. All that shows up is this serum. To get me to pay $171 (at the time of writing this review) for a skincare product, it needs to have way more than 3 ingredients that I consider superstar ingredients.Plus, there’s 4 different silicones and alcohol in this product, which is pretty unacceptable for a skincare product at this price point.There’s also fragrance in it. It’s the last ingredient. It has a very faint smell. I can’t quite place it. Kind of perfume scented, but very faint.In the end, I just don’t see where they come up with the price point for this. I feel that way about a lot of the so-called “big name brand” products, where just because they’re a well-known brand, they feel it justifies slapping a bigger price on it, even when the ingredients and/or results don’t seem to justify it. But, this brand isn’t even a known brand, unless you’re a small spa or boutique as far as I can tell. So, that definitely doesn’t justify the price (not that I think it would even if it was a well known brand). But, the ingredients also don’t justify the price. There isn’t enough superstar type ingredients in this to justify the price. There’s a bunch of basic good ingredients, and a few superstar, and then some not great ingredients like fragrance, alcohol, and different silicones. I find that unacceptable when you’re trying to charge this much. Not to mention, they claim results occur in 7 days. I used this for a month and didn’t see any results at all. I don’t even feel like it provides much hydration. It just feels silky smooth on the skin...thanks to the silicones. So, I don’t recommend this.

I've tried this for several weeks now and for $171, I'm not that impressed. It seems like any other anti-aging serum that costs a lot less. Claims it "rejuvenates your skin in 7 days" but nothing of the sort happened to me. Disappointed.
