Hi, well I’m a 48 inch chest and the xxxl (eu) size is perfect, so I would say that the medium would be ok for you. I don’t know where on that jackets page you saw sizes as I scoured it and couldn’t find anything on sizes apart from what they advertise as being S,M,L,X-LARGE,XXL,XXXL and bigger, but it does state that they are true to size so order your normal size. Hope this helps you.
