The only way to watch Data Squad
This is a region 8 DVD box set. Unless you have a region free DVD player ( or you live in Australia ) this won't work on your DVD player. So do not buy this without a DVD player that can play it. And yes, this is the english version of the show that aired on Jetix. Jetex? I don't know I never had that channel as a kid. But this is your only option for getting an english release of Digimon Data Squad for now, as the region 1 releases are incomplete and likely never going to be finishedIf you've never seen this season of Digimon, it's quite different. Not as different as Frontier, we are back to the traditional style of having the monsters as companions to the main characters. But the art style is very different, most of the characters are older, and rather than just being a bunch of kids caught up in something bigger than they realize, it's a group of young adults that join an organization dedicated to sending Digimon back to the Digital world before they cause further chaos with the help of their own digimon partners, and as things progress, they uncover a big conspiracy going on between their world and the digital world. It's a worthy entry into the series that not a lot of people talk about. Definitely worth your time if you like the other Digimon anime. It's not a 5 star release, because much like the region 1 releases of Digimon, it's super basic with no extra features, no alternate audio, and no subtitles. It's basic as heck and doesn't even include a booklet like the region 1 release. But it does get the job done.Just remember.... do not buy this if you don't have a region free DVD/Bluray player.
