What is the trick to getting the pumps to open? I keep spinning them but nothing happens.

So I was having the same issue...unscrew the pump. Just at the top of the stem is a white cylindrical "doodad" use a pair of pliers and grasp it to prevent rotation. Now twist the top of the pump and it will pop out. I can even lock it closed this way and turning it the opposite direction.

My hair's naturally wavy, is it too heavy to pull out the waves?

The shampoo would be fine. My hair is a little wavy and as long as I don't use a lot of the conditioner or leave it on a long time, it doesn't affect any wave. But my hair is also very fine, so that may affect how it impacts my hair.

Is there a way to buy just the shampoo or conditioner by itself?

Yes...they do have the Keratin Shampoo and Conditioner separate...but, price is higher.
