Brawn, 3rd Edition [McRobert, Stuart] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Brawn, 3rd Edition Review: The true about bodybuilding. - This book cuts down all the B.S about bodybuilding in the modern era. This book tells the cold hard true that if you follow the training articles of modern bodybuilding magazines. You won't have the hot body of your bodybuilding heroes. The majority of us are hardgainers. People who train hard without the used of steroids. This book will guide you how to train safe and have a long lasting healthy life. Review: Get this book - Get this book if your a natural athlete and want to get strong. Then after purchasing this book purchase every single one of his back issues of the hard gainer magazine. Then purchase his other book beyond Brawn. After you do this you will have all the information you will need to get stronger. This information it's for someone who wants the real deal on how to get stronger. This is not for someone who wants to get cut, look pretty, or wants an easy short cut. I have read pretty much everything written about strength training. Stuart McRoberts information is up there at the top! Training information helps with keeping your training motivation high. So it's important to read strength training information that is truthful, helpful, and about other people's experiences. This is what you get with hard gainer magazine as well as his books. If you take steroids you will not find his information as helpful. It's sad to say but most of all top achievers in the sport are on drugs and they also dominate what is written in the strength training literature. So this does not help the 16-year-old wanting to gain muscle for football or simply the 40-year-old who wants to gain more strength. The bottom line is you don't have to believe what I'm writing and there is a lot to choose from on the Internet but I normally don't write reviews I just felt that Stuart McRobert has helped me so much by reading his material it's the least I can do is to give a good review in hopes that it will help even more people.

Insightful
An interesting and thoughtful look at weight training from an "old school" perspective. McRobert's theories appear logical and it will be interesting to see if results follow. A little rambling in places and not as well organised as I would have liked. I particularly liked the emphasis on compound movements.

Follow the methods and results are yours
This is THE book for the steroid-free, old school trainer. These are the methods that worked for the men and women of the pre-drug era (pre-late 1950s) and continue to work today. If strength AND a good physique are your goals, ignore the flavor of the week and WOD hype and follow the timeless knowledge presented here. I give copies of this book to students who wish to achieve the strength that I have in my 50s. Who have stuck with the methods here have had great results to the person. May this never go out of print.

It works.
Brawn is an excellent introduction to low volume, low frequency workouts. There is a lot of utter rubbish on the internet and in print, most of which does NOT work for the average person. Even some of the most popular online coaches, who use scientific studies to support their methods, fail to realize that they themselves, and the people that have success with their methods, have exceptional genetics. Read Brawn, read it several times, try it. You’ll get results that exceed your expectations, all with brief (but intense) workouts, just 2 or 3 times a week.

I highly recommend this book
I am a 48 year old Gulf War Veteran with a Veritable Laundry list of Medical diagnoses to boot... It has taken me more than 3 decades to finally confirm, what my body has known for some time e.g. That the Genetically average bodybuilder/athlete will fail miserably on the routines advocated by the so-called experts! It was only after I decided to follow an abbreviated program; in which I trained the " Big lifts" only once every 5-7 days or as I got bigger and stronger, even less frequently, that I was able to break through plateus e.g. 315 plus on bench etc!!! I highly recommend this book... It is now my " Bodybuilding Bible" that I will recommend to every Drug-free " Hard Gainer" i.e. Most of us mere mortals!

Inspiring at times...confusing at others
I've heard a lot of good things about this book so decided to give it a read. It's okay, but repetitive and confusing if you're looking for an actual/specific program to follow. The information is honest and down-to-earth. It could have been more concise. Also, I walked away with not really knowing the specifics of where exactly to start with this because the author is all over the place in the way the information is presented...basically I learned to "experiment and learn for yourself." However, the best info I walked away with was to forget about the pipe dream of supplements or looking like a pro body builder. This book will bring you back to reality and provide you with a more realistic approach in achieving your goals.

Stuart McRobert revises his very first book that spawned many successful sequels!
This is the book that started it all: the "Brawn" book series, that encompasses the drug-free hardgainer's training bible. Stuart is in reality land when it comes to practical common-sense training for the average trainee who has difficulty making progress. The breaks the barriers of plateaus to continuous muscle and strength gains with the information provided.

cosa dire, la bibbia del natural bodybuilding. Nel 1995 fu come vedere la luce in fondo al tunnel e dopo 17 anni è ancora così. Grande stuart

While there are many effective ways to train for mass, this book gives enough options of realistic power and mass routines. Old school and hard work training that limit the shaping isolation exercises needed by bodybuilders who have ALREADY BUILT MUCH SIZE to further hyper critically scope the shape of the size. I first came to this book a good 14years ago now. I have built up to 120kg bench press, 200 odd kilo squat and 240kg deadlift. OK, and 12stone odd to nearly 18 stone. okay, while none of that is record breaking, it is a testiment to the effectiveness of knuckling down to the exercises that matter the most through a strength minded first aproach. that said there are good pure powerlifting routines in this also... either way, for a bisy person with full time job and or family life ect. Who isn't interested in chemical enhancing themselfs or being a slave to tabloid type fad rubbish. This book shows people how just a few hours gym time or less per week will really go a long way in the field of sensible muscle building and strength training.

Eines der besten Bücher über Bodybuilding für den natürlichen und genetisch "normalen" Trainierenden ! Hier steckt alles drin . Übungsausführung gibt's dann im anderen Buch von Stuart McRobert - The Insiders Hanndbook !
