We have a 17-year old beagle man who has developed horrible food allergies in the last four years. We went through months of trial and error to find a protein source that wouldn't turn into a nightmare of diarrhea and tummy upset. I'm not joking when I say this is the ONLY dry food that he can tolerate and he loves it (a bonus!). We can have a little variation in his wet food, as long as the protein is venison, but dry foods wreak havoc with his digestive tract. This is just the perfect food for him. Our second dog can eat anything under the sun, so he gets a different dry food, but once he tried Purevita, he won't touch his old dry unless we toss some of this in as well. I hate how expensive this food is, but it's top quality, the dogs love it, and it has an excellent history regarding recalls. I will never stop buying it for my old guy.

My dog loves this food and seems very healthy on this product. A previous brand w/chicken made him ichy. The venison seems right for him.

I bought this expensive dog food thinking it would be good for my dog. It says really two ingredients but there are many more. My dog ate it the first time but refused to eat any more. The seller will allow me to return the dog food but it was going to cost me over forty dollars. I decided to donate the food to a rescue home but I learned a lesson.

This food is probably the best food I have ever fed my dog before. He has the healthiest poops of any pet I have owned. My issue is not with the food but the price that Amazon is charging. I only did this because I was in a bind and could not make it out to an actual pet store in my city so I purchased on Amazon. I would never do that again in the future as it is over priced on Amazon.

Our pitbull mix had all kind of allergies and itching on her previous dog food. When we switched to this, everything cleared up. Plus, she loves it. We'll continue to re-order....
