Best grinder for Indian cooking and more
We have been using this grinder/blender for over a month now. We were looking for a grinder for Indian food for over a year. I finally thought maybe I should order from India since I couldn't find anything here in the US, but due to COVID-19, there was a long waiting time. One day I came across this one. I read almost all the reviews and was a bit hesitant since some people had issues and good reviews were not long enough to get to know much about the product. I gave it a try anyway, and it came in within 12 days (a bit longer wait time). It packaged very carefully, and it was a beauty fresh out from the box and very high-quality stainless steel. It is nothing less than my Ninja kitchen system and Vitamix. I have seen some Indian brand grinders. The quality and the craftsmanship can never match up to Ninja or Vitamix. We had some Hamilton Beach products in the past I(the entry-level) but never impressed with the brand. This Professional line is top of the line when it comes to quality. When I come to the performance, we grind the spices; I have been watching many masala recipes on YouTube, making my own at home. I have learned to make some green chatni during the lockdown. A family friend of ours gave us homegrown organic turmeric roots. It grinds beautifully, it was a little hot and had to wait for a few minutes like 4 or 5 minutes to restart. But it's turmeric root we are talking about; it is tough to grind the turmeric. I tried Ninja in the past, and it couldn't grind it, and yes, Ninja is not a grinder, but I have been using Ninja to grind here and there in the past. I use the big jar to make smoothies; something in the blades makes the smoothies soft and even consistency like Vitamix. It is a mixture of two of my favorite blenders. I genuinely enjoy it, and there is a five-year warranty on it, and they sell the extra parts separately on their website. The functionally is there, but it also starts with just pressing one switch if you don't want to go through all those functions. Honestly, I don't use those functions at all. I use the power button and chose my speed, and hit start. In the end, it has become my favorite blender/grinder, and I reach for it the most. It has been part of our daily cooking.

Not as efficient as stated. I can not return it as window of return has passed.
I have been using this gadget for the last 2 months, nearly daily. In terms of blending semiliquid stuff to make fine gravy for various Indian entrees as well as shakes, it works very well like any other powerful blender but problems crop up with coarse and wet hard and dry grinding. Making various chutneys with minimum water is not as uniform and fine as other gadgets like Sumeet. If you have less than a cup or two for semi-dry and fine grinding, the results are not consistent or easy. Suppose the company would have included a small jar for waterless chilies or garlic or ginger grinding or small batches of Indian chutneys that would have been convenient or would have improved efficiency for smaller batches. Trying to repeatedly try to blend above chutneys with minimum water or soaked lentils with minimal liquid may cause the machine to overheat easily. There is adequate power in blending and mixing in a uniform manner on pre-set settings or manual as far as moderately liquid materials are concerned. Making gravies, and fruit blending for juices is very smooth and better than top-of-the-line blenders in the American market. Also, the alignment of the blender on the base could have been easier than it is. I could have returned above but the timeline to return has passed. The only reason to return is semi-dry grinding efforts are very poor and not consistent. Recently, after trying to grind wet loose chutneys, the machine started making noises and I had to shut the machine. I do not wish to reuse this. I did not expect such a poor product from Hamilton Beach.

Warranty fulfilled. HAMILTON BEACH accepted everything be returned. New 58770 received. All is well!
All matters corrected. Drive unit to blender disintegrated. No phone service. No parts. No technical service. Complete unit being returned. Company states replacement possible within 15 days. All issues were resolved satisfactorily over time under the warranty. Update March2024: Love this tri-canister blender mostly for 1L smoothies for my Beast SS cup . Bought 2nd #58770 for backup as I'm over 80 years old and have difficultly chewing. I'm working/learning about hot & cold grinding, mixing, & drinking carnivore + green smoothies. The colors of my concoctions match those in Farnoosh Brock's the Healthy Smoothie Bible. If I have odd scraps left over they go into whatever I'm blending so there's no waste. ANY food can be reduced to a hot or cold syrup.......dynamite blender!

Review after 1 year of usage
Don’t waste your money on this. I bought this for Indian cooking. The unit does not turn on now suddenly. Will reach out to customer care. Have used it to grind spices, dosa batter, soups, chutneys etc. Pros: Powerful machine, stainless steel jars, jar sizes are also good, you can grind the hot items as well. Cons: The lids are not good. Have the rubber seals which get food stuck so cleaning the lids is hard. The smallest jar is bad and does not grind evenly. You will see small lumps remaining. Nothing so fancy for which I will pay this higher price. I would have been better buying an Indian style mixer grinder. I have a Preethi mixer which is working fine even after 10 years. I bought this because I had to refresh the jars of old machine so instead I just bought this new one.

Strong powerful all in one blender
The blender is very powerful and grinds the grains very well. It can easily compete with an industrial blender. I really like using this blender since I can make Dosa, Idli better very easily in it. I also make smoothies in this blender, making chutney is easy as well and within two minutes I can make them, it blends everything very fine. There are various features in the blender, such as grinding, rough, fine, or course, which is nice. I have no complaints for this blender. The digital screen clearly shows the selected mode. I can blend anything in this blender and I really recommend this. It’s very nice. If you’re really searching for something in the market like all in one then this is the best product ever because this is all in one blender. There are three jars that makes my work easier because they all have different capacity, three stainless steel very good quality jars and I just love it and I definitely and highly recommend it. Please definitely go for it.

Failed after 1.5 years. Don't trust warranty
I am extremely disappointed with this Hamilton Beach grinder. After only 1.5 years, the unit is emitting fumes and a bad odor. Despite a 5-year warranty, the company refuses to repair it or provide a replacement, as they have no stock available. Their only offer was for me to purchase other products from them—but after this $$$ loss, I have no interest in buying from this brand again. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Monster version of the Indian brands!
If you love your summits and preethis, the default go to for our needs such as grinding and mixing etc ! Get this, it’s a fantastic well built like a tank that’s specifically made for our needs. Hamilton beach is a well renowned North American brand and for them to collaborate with us to make this unit speaks for itself on the product and workmanship behind it. Yes, it’s pricey but should last you easily a lifetime especially with the warranty backing of HB!!!! We have tried and thrown everything at this monster over the last 6+ months and it delivers. No regrets at all 👍🏽

Processor
For how expensive it’s tiny and doesn’t blend or process ( veggies and egg ) efficiently. I used all the different settings to see if it would blend better but no. I processed my cashews raw in this processor and toasted in my Hamilton 20$ processor and it did the same quality. It’s a nice blender but not what I needed personally.

Great Customer Service!!
This is a great mixer/grinder for all Indian cooking needs. There isn't anything like this from any other manufacturer. It has the right jar and blade design for all milling and grinding needs. Most other products you find from non-Indian manufacturers are good only for blending smoothies, even those that boast about their incredible ice crushing strength. After two years of Idli/Dosa batter grinding, the rotor head of my Hamilton Beach mixer grinder broke which made it unusable. I contacted customer service and I was asked to send pictures of the problem, which I did. Later they asked me to cut the plug off the wire and send a picture of that as well, probably to ensure that mixer/grinder is actually broken. I did that too. and, then I was sent an email saying that I will be receiving a replacement mixer/grinder. I was only expecting a mixer motor base, but I received the full new set including the jars, which I really appreciate as the lid closing mechanism was broken as well and we couldn't buy a replacement for it. Overall a great experience, wouldn't hesitate to buy another Hamilton Beach product.

A great mixie!
Well, so far it has done an excellent job grinding idli batter, appam batter, chutneys, smoothies. I have used it around 5-6 times, so I don't know about the durability yet. Hoping this lasts, because it is not cheap. I was really hesitant buying it because it was expensive. But my other option to get the job done was double this one's price - vitamix and i wasn't sure if that would do the job even after me paying 700bucks. So stuck with this, read through reviews, watched youtube videos to calm my anxiety about this and so far it has done its job well. It makes a lot of noise, the motor is powerful. The rubber gaskets make cleaning the mouths of the jars difficult. Otherwise, excellent product. Will update here after a few months of use.

Lids are flimsy
Even though this is a good product, better than costly Vitamix. Mostly used for preparing Indian meals, idli and dosa batter. The lids on the jars are cheaply made and broke after 6months of use. Hamilton should provide a replacement for the broken lids. Otherwise it is a nice product.
