I was in a bad accident 2 momths ago and can't sleep flat or on my sides yet. (This causes pain) I slept in a recliner for a month after being.released from the hospital but could never really sleep threw the night. I got this frame in a queen and it has been great so far! I have it for about a week now and can finally sleep threw the night again! The vibration function is stronger than I expected and works great. The beds remote is nice and works well. The fact it has a little flash light in it is a nice touch. I have a few small gripes but nothing that would prevent me from being it again. The vibration function times out after 30 minutes even if you don't set the timer. So it will not run for any longer then that. At least I can't get mine to. The under bed light also does the same. It will time out after a bit. So night time bathroom visits you can not rely on it to be on when you get back unless your fast. So I need to take the remote with me as I use that light to see to get back in bed so I don't have turn the mail light for the room on. Would be nice if I could set the time out for the light or just keep them on as long as I want. For a queen bed there is a single actuator for the top and a single for the bottom of the bed. So being a larger guy (6 foot 1 290lbs) I have to sleep in the center of the bed or my weight will flex the frame slightly. I don't know if this would damage the bed over time, but I am not willing to risk it. My wife got in the bed with me and it gad no problems with both of us in the bed running up or down without the frame flexing noticeably. But with just me on one side it will flex a little. It's rated for I think 1,000lbs. But I don't think I would put that much in it. I would more comfortable if each section have dual actuators to prevent that flexing. This would however have to raise the price a bit I am sure. Small compromise for the price point. And I have seen more expensive power bed frames that still only ran a single actuator per moving section on a queen bed. Would not stop me from buying again, just like things that over built a little. The emergency back up power is done with two 9 volt batteries and the manual says that's good for a single use and then they should be replaced. And they should not be installed until needed. A rechargeable battery pack that's replaceable should it fail would have been nice. And could have given you a few uses before needing to be charged for sure. But again not 100% needed. I bought a batter backup power strip for it. It can keep the beed powered for a bit should the power go out if needed. I have the same one on my computer and it keeps my computer powered for like 5 hours if I am not gaming. So I would think it would power the bed for a few nights at least considering my computer draws a lot more power than this bed will unless you moving part of it. Thats really all. The frame seems well built. And works great. And it was easy to set up. The manual is well done. The adjustable height legs are a nice touch so you can dial in exactly how tall you want the bed to be. I have mine set up using the longest and shortest sections and that seems to work perfectly for me. I gave this 5 stars as I think it's minor shortcomings are fair for the price point. It's a good value for the money. The cheaper options out there did not look as well made. The more expensive options seemed like they did not provide enough improvement to justify the much higher costs. I was not paid for this review. I was provided this product for free. I paid full price for this frame. I am happy with my purchase. I wish I had bought this the day I got out of the hospital honestly! I did not know you could get a decent power bed frame like this for what this one costs or I would have bought it much sooner. I have at least another 3 months sleeping on this bed before I can even think of sleeping in my normal bed with my wife again. But I'm fine with that right now. LOL. I like this so much I am going to replace our Kind bed with 2 twin versions of this thing when it comes time to move back to my normal bed! LOL. Maybe it will help with my wife's snoring! LOL don't tell her I said that. LOL Anyway if it fails or anything changes I'll update this review. But I don't expect that's going to be needed.

Wow, first adjustable base. Where have you been all my life? I purchased this as consumer report's top new mattress was a fraction of the price of my 11 year old tempur-pedic grand. As the fabulous new Sleep on Latex, was $5 grand less, I began researching adjustable beds. I learned that Legget and Platt, was the "Cadillac" of adjustable beds. As I have a terrible back, and a sizable savings on a mattress that out ranks Tempur (per Consumers), I jumped on the iDealBed. All the setup guide, owners manual, and warrantee are Leggett and Platt. This is a L&P bed, at huge discount. The setup booklet is the same as, with pictures of, the $grand more expensive bed. The help telephone line is to L&P. Now, what is different. 1) iDealBed, is not printed on the remote. Wireless, of course That's it! The bed is soo sturdy. The massaging choices work like a dream. Massage works up to 30 minutes. The "lay flat" button works with one touch-no hold needed. Flash light nice, as is back lighting of all buttons. Under bed lighting illuminates all around bed for animal safety, and finding slippers. Several position choices preset, and a couple of memory choices you make. Nice button to lock bed, so children can not endanger themselves and pets. Super easy setup. Screw on legs, and 2 minutes unpacking and pressing cotton pins back on. Flip bed over (2 people), and plug into surge protector. Surge protection NOT INCLUDED! Purchase Velcro to always know where your remote is. Place mattress on bed. Relax, and know that you have a 10 year motorized warranty! PS Update: IDealBed increased price $15, the night I slept on decision to buy. Today, when I wrote review, price increased almost $100 +tax. Yes, tax on possible medical device. Will call about doctor script for tax return. Is bed price increasing for holiday reduction? I hope not. Love this bed base. Perfect in my Tommy Bahama poster bed. Just Heaven! January, 2018 update; At 6'4", the 9" Sleep On Latex, left me feeling as though I dropped half way to the floor getting into bed. The wonderful people at Sleep On Latex, sold me a 3", $300 topper, for 149.50. It made all the difference. The pressure point on my hip was gone, and elastic sheet grippers (under$10) left me secure that upon waking all bedding would remain intact. BTW, my massage unit operates in 3 distinct areas, although the rolling massage flows up and down the whole body. I only use the 2 lower power setting, lest I want a shiatsu experience. Perhaps, the perfect mattress for a motorized bed is latex? Many months, fantastic find! UPDATE, August 1, 2020 Unfortunately, I have a worsening spine, and so much of my day revolves around activities that involve being on my bed. I am so happy with my latex bed. I spent so much time investigating beds, that I was thrilled when Consumer Reports ranked my mattress, in a 3 way tie for first place of all mattresses. The other 2, where also latex. Consumers concluded that latex products should exceed the 10 year period of superior bedding. I am truly testing the limits. And continue to be pleasantly optimistic. I would also be remiss if I didn't give an update to my Ideal 4, mechanical bed. As my original purchase was 1 month after the I deal 4 launch. As I am spending twice the time the average person uses the frame,I am really qualified to give an opinion. Just as someone who's job required crisscrossing the nation, weekly. My physique amounts to 6' 4, or 3&3/4", I weigh approximately 190lbs. , and my bed mates are two felines, as I had to put down one, at the age of 22. With a latex mattress, I am unable to awaken unless they stand on me, because there is very very little motion transfer. Which is outstanding, as nocturnal animals, like felines, are up to all sorts of mischievous behavior in the dark of night. I use the motorized features frequently, and the massage unit is used always when returning home from a doctor's appointment, or lengthy shopping excursion. It has been years now, and a considerable over time in the use of the iDeal4, mechanical power bed frame. I am so pleased to say that this product purchase has been a blissful experience! I could not have wished for better, and I am truly thrilled with my purchase. Especially, as there were no comments to read, and research was nil. I have lived long enough, and made enough mistakes, to dive deep into credible sources before I spend a great deal on a product I know little to nothing about. I have never considered a bed, and frame like these. When I purchased my Tempur-pedic grand bed, I was without information, and I was shelling out $6 grand. I was amazed to find that my mother's widowed friend was married to the gentleman at NASA, who was a principal inventor of the material that became Tempur-pedic. And by her say so, I purchased my bed that served me well, for 11+ years. In its first year, Consumers did not have enough to fully evaluate the bed. When I purchased my latex mattress, Tempur was no longer a great investment. I do not know why, and have no idea if the company had changed hands. All Consumers concluded, was that the beds were not the greatest, nor even great deals they were, in the day. My iDeal 4, however, was a great deal, and my geastimation that iDeal was L&P, was correct! My iDeal4, is truly fantastic! It has never let me down, nor disappoint me in any way. I can see that improvements have been made. Ideas that I conceived, had been put into place, and the prices have not been inflated. I am so happy that I took a chance on an unknown product, and with my endless usage, I am as happy as the day it first entered my life. How many great creations can you say the same? I love the addition of the battery backup. As with a power surge , my bed immediately reverts to a flat surface, which could be perilous for an animal. The remote is no longer white, which is valuable to those of us who's eyes, are off enjoying "those golden years ". Aaa, right! The snore button is new. And options in elevation are a very nice touch. It has been many years now, and I am surprised at the various options available with L&G's trial balloon. Having been the "Cadillac of motorized beds", the company realized that a less expensive value version, was more than just a niche trial balloon. But an offering of luxury, at just the right time, and place, brought a whole new luxury item to the masses, that they now could not conceive of living without. Many will graduate up to the top tier, and more will test and purchase a new necessity! I love the iDeal4 bed. I can no longer imagine resting without one. I have lived many years with my bedroom sanctuary. I love this, and cannot imagine life without it. Many complements, and happy dreams. My bed has been faultless, and I am a very very happy customer. I am delighted to return and keep you abreast of my iDeal journey. I shall be here to read, and help anyone with questions. Michael UPDATE JUNE 2021, I completed a new update , and suddenly it disappeared. Well , I shall be brief. As previously mentioned, I am disabled, and spend twice the average time in this bed. As I head to 5 years this wonderful L&P bed , I spent $600+ tax, is as close to the nearly $2 grand bed the company was running as a new option. It does not list the maker, but their help line let's you know, and the 4i is no where to be found. The bed has all the bells and whistles at 1/3rd the cost. It is every bit as good as the first day I received it. Believe it or not, I have not changed a battery. The feel for a 6'4 man is as great as day 1. L&P has raised the price close to $150, but Covid may have some reason. I have not followed the price, as I head on to 5 years, but I spend twice the average amount of time in bed. As covid's grip is lessening, I will be back with therapy and gym. I just wanted to let people know that this new idea by one of the very best makers in the world, has been a fantastic investment! I saved a good $1000 dollars or more, and I have never had 1 problem with this frame. Even the massage unit, which I would guess to be the 1st to go, has been perfect! I was very lucky to walk into a new concept by a high-end company, that kept it's new option nameless. Just about every toy included in the high dollar is here. Maybe all. I truly believe in this product. For a man with a mess of a spine, I am so fortunate. Leggit and Platt, is a great company, and (sadly) no one paid me to keep you up to date on this dream machine. My husband and I absolutely love our adjustable bedframe paired with our Purple mattress. We've had both since June 2020 and have decided we never want to go back to a traditional bedframe again (or mattress, honestly). The bed frame came almost entirely assembled, I just had to unfold it and add on the adjustable legs. Beyond 12 inches high, the whole frame felt pretty wobbly, but at 10 inches, everything feels solid and I'm able to fit those under bed totes without issue. The under bed light is pretty handy for seeing what's in those totes. The remote is pretty self-explanatory. It comes with three pre-settings, but we either lie flat, or manually select our own. With a queen sized mattress you only get one remote, so find a good place to store it that you both can reach it. The remote lights up once you hit a button, which is handy in the dark, and even has its own little flashlight option if you need it. The "massage" feature - which is really just vibration and variable depending on the thickness of your mattress - we have found to be very soothing. We put it on when we're trying to fall asleep almost every night, to the point that one of the motors isn't as strong as it used to be. It still functions, but the "high" setting is more like what the medium setting use to be and the low setting is almost nonexistent. The other motor is going strong though (there's one in the upper section and one in the lower), so maybe we have one bum motor. Be aware that if your power goes out, so does your bed. But, there is a battery backup (4 C batteries I think, or maybe Ds, I can't remember) that will allow you to LOWER the bed if the power is out. Its slow, so be patient and hold the button longer than 10 seconds. My biggest disappointment, is that we didn't splurge and go for a split king so we could both control our own side independent of one another. Oh, and that one motor losing strength at less than a year in (sorry, -1 star for that). Other than that, love this thing to pieces and would definitely recommend.

Just received our queen frame this weekend and I must say I'm very impressed with the product. Delivery "issues" aside (see below), the product is solid, well documented, and works as advertised. It was installed under our existing iComfort memory foam mattress and inside our existing wood bed frame without any issue. The good: 1. Construction quality is impressive. The metal frame is thick & solid with secure connection points all around. The hydraulics and their connection points are equally solid, and the electrical components include heavier-gauge wiring with modular connectors that are clearly labeled. If there is any "weak spot" in terms of construction, it would be the adjustable legs, which each consist of three plastic screw-on cylinders. That being said, don't foresee any issue with them, and they installed/leveled with no hassle. 2. Operation is exactly as advertised. The range of motion for the head and feet is more than expected. I believe it advertises a 40-degree angle for the head; I'd say it easily exceeds that - at its extreme, it feels more like 90 degrees lol! The remote is responsive, easy to operate, and has a nice, solid feel with backlit buttons. 3. Installation is idiot-proof. Beyond the physical challenge of putting the frame in its place, there's really nothing more to installation than securing the legs and mattress retention bar then plugging it in. 4. Clear documentation. While there's really no learning curve for this product, it's always reassuring to see clear and professional documentation, in English and grammatically correct. The "could be better": 1. The packaging was a bit lackluster. Upon opening the box, the base is literally just folded in half with the loose components resting inside of it. While nothing was damaged, removing the heavy frame with multiple hinge points was awkward, to say the least. I would have hoped there would have been something securing it to keep all the moving parts in place until it was ready to be installed. There is also a yet-to-be-explained extra leg included that did render some confusion as we searched for a place to install it. I had assumed it was a supplemental "center support", but there is clearly no place on the frame for it to insert. 2. USB port placement. This may not be relevant for all users, as our frame is actually obscured by our bed rails when flat. The ports are located near the head of the frame on each side but reside behind the side walls. Thus, accessing them requires essentially reaching under the frame and "feeling around" the bottom. Additionally, since they are mounted so close to the head, they have far more range of motion than what seems to be logical. I keep an iPhone cable on my nightstand for charging; if I used the ports on this frame, I envision the cable (and/or phone) being pulled off the nightstand any time the head was raised. The ports do seem like they could be easily re-positioned but in all honesty, this isn't a feature I was particularly interested in to begin with, especially since they are completely covered by our bed rails when flat. 3. Remote and under-bed lighting. Both work perfectly when activated, however, doing so requires pressing a button on the remote itself. Considering that both of these features are very likely to be needed in the dark, I would like to have seen some mechanism allowing the remote keys to illuminate when it is picked up (similar to our cable tv remote). Granted, I haven't had this frame long enough to "memorize" the remote, but until that happens, I'd be hesitant to try to activate the remote lights by pushing the wrong button and waking my wife with a rogue adjustment! It would also be nice to have some sort of motion sensing on the under-bed light, as it really does illuminate the area around the bed very well. No deductions here, as these are "wishlist" features that are not advertised. 4. Operation volume. While actually ON the bed, the sound of the hydraulic lifts are really minimal. What I have found, however, is that the noise is curiously very noticeable from rooms below our second-floor bedroom. I found this somewhat surprising, especially considering our bedroom is carpeted. I may consider looking into some sort of cushions or other material to try to dampen the noise/vibrations once I have a chance to really zero-in on exactly where it originates. The "ugly": Okay, I admit to being a bit dramatic here, but the delivery notifications were oddly inconsistent. The original delivery date was Friday, Jan 15th. On Thursday, Jan 6th, (more than a week early) I received a notice that it was "out for delivery - arriving by 8pm". I excitedly called my wife to expect a large delivery, and once I got home, promptly removed our mattress and box spring in preparation. By 10pm that night, the amazon delivery date had changed back to the 15th. Grrr. The same thing happened on Friday, Jan 7th, including me once again removing the mattress and existing foundation that I had to hastily reassemble the previous night. Again, no delivery and the Amazon delivery date again reverted to the 15th. That was still the estimated date on Saturday, so you can imagine my surprise when the doorbell rang and I found the large parcel waiting outside. I'm a bit conflicted here... All things considered, the frame did arrive a full 5 days ahead of its original estimated delivery date. That being said, having to disassemble, reassemble, disassemble, reassemble and again disassemble our bed based on "out for delivery" notices was a bit frustrating. In hindsight, doing so was obviously a bit premature, but my experience with Amazon delivery notices in the past is that they've been remarkably accurate. Lesson learned. Overall, I highly recommend this purchase. Ultimately, it delivers everything promised and is easily $200-$400 less than comparable models we browsed in retail stores.

We were anxious about purchasing a power bed frame off Amazon without being able to see/test it first and especially because it can’t be returned. The almost-unbelievably-low price is what made us pull the trigger. Long story short, this bed frame is legit and we’re so happy we pulled the trigger on it. Our local mattress store was over $1,000 more for a powered frame with these features. Even a basic frame that just had head/foot movement was $650 more. Granted, buying from the local store meant having a return period and home installation. If you’re unsure about buying a power mattress in general then I would definitely find a local store or friend who has one you can at least test first. Once you’ve decided on getting one, this is the route to go IMO. We had no intention of buying one with massage, USB ports, underbed lighting or any of those other “extra” features. But for this price, we couldn’t resist. Assembly was easier than I anticipated. It’s very heavy and will require at least 2 strong people to do but it’s very simple. Took under 30 minutes. Here’s a quick rundown of our thoughts on the features: Basic movement: Works just like it should and seems to have plenty of power. Motors aren’t silent but are quiet. Massage: It’s not so much massage as it is vibration. At its lowest setting it’s fairly quiet but at its medium or higher levels it’s pretty loud. I’m sure that the thickness and material of your particular mattress is going to greatly impact how much of the vibration you actually feel. We’re using this frame with an original Purple Mattress. The vibration can definitely be felt and I could see it helping someone fall asleep but that’s about it. Under lighting: My surprise favorite “extra” feature. It’s the perfect nightlight. I love having it. USB: This is a neat option but the ports are located near the middle of the bed. This is an odd placement for them because the cords will potentially be in your way when you get in and out of bed. If you’re using this frame inside an existing frame then I can’t see how these would be useable. It would make way more sense for them to be under the bed and near the head. Snore Relief: It’s very possible this works but unless someone is awake to push the snore button on the remote, it’s useless. And if someone is awake, then it’s already useless. So this is really useless. Remote: Excellent. It’s backlit which is great, simple to use, and even has a built in flashlight which is nice. Ultimately, we’re very pleased with this bed frame for the price and highky recommend it.

I did a lot of study about this bed before buying it. I can walk readers through my process and give my thoughts. Pre-purchase: I read through the Q&A when it was still all visible and got some good info and a lot of outdated info. The idealbeds are currently zero clearance, meaning they can sit on a flat surface and don't need you to remove slats from a standard bed frame. We installed this on a bed frame with a headboard and footboard, and slats underneath the foundation (adjustable bed). For this reason, I did not use the legs, so I can't comment on them. I also did not use the metal loop to hold the mattress in place, as the footboard serves that purpose. Delivery and setup: The queen size weighs 100 pounds and is folded in half in a box. I have new appreciation for our UPS guy who carried the package to our door without using a cart! There is some padding around the bed in the box, but it can still get a little beaten up. One of the side pieces of our frame by the USB ports was bent in a little, but I just pulled that back out. Everything else was solid and attached where it should be. The bed comes with some white zip ties to keep it from extending. Read the manual about keeping those in place until you set the bed where it needs to be. The only real assembly is hooking up the power cord and routing it after you unfold the bed and remove the zip ties. Use: The remote is supposed to be paired, but I had to do that again to make it work. I also installed the app to use a phone and Bluetooth if needed. The remote lights up when buttons are pushed, but the backlight only stays on for a second, so you need to memorize where the buttons are or keep pushing the flashlight button to activate the backlight on the remote until you find what you want. Initially, I didn't think the massage feature would be much use as we have a thick hybrid mattress, but we can feel the massage through the mattress, and the noise of the motors is kind of a white noise. Others may have a different experience with this. The bed offers a number of positions for your comfort, so you can find something that works for you. I'm told that the anti-snore does work, but I wouldn't know as I was asleep at the time. The USB ports on the sides are lit, but we covered the lights with a bit of tape, as we don't use the ports, and the light was distracting. The under-bed light is actually kind of nice, as it can be a night light or a help for finding things under the bed. In short, the bed isn't perfect, but very good and rates close enough to get five stars from me.

A couple years ago my husband and I bought a queen size adjustable base and memory foam mattress from a reputable website. We were sold after our first night of sleep! Fast forward a year or so, the mattress develops some sort of split on the side. Made me feel like I was falling off all the time. We decided to upgrade - to a more reviewed and trusted cal king size mattress and base. This base is heavy! That is not unexpected because it is huge. However, other than weighing a ton it is very easy to assemble. Just be sure to have the base relatively in the place you want to put it permanently before assembly. I love the settings. Zero G is pre-programmed in (no more guessing about which angles most resemble zero G on our own), the lights under the base are ideally placed and perfect for night time trips to the bathroom or the fridge, and the massage vibration is relaxing and comes in 3 settings with a 10, 20, and 30 minute timer. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant and the upgrade in base has helped me sleep so much better than before. It helps ease the pain in my hips and back, which helps with some of the horrid insomnia I have been struggling with. The USB ports are a bonus. It's easier to use my phone in bed (where I am writing this review comfortably resting in zero G position). I think this base is a great value for my money and worth every cent and ounce of effort spent getting it into the bedroom.

Overall I do really like the bed. I think it is a great value for what it is and compared to other like items on the market. I have actually been wanting a frame like this for years. I finally broke down and decided to make the investment to purchase one. I did a ton of research and chose this frame. The legs continually need tightening. Even when tight they are very wobbly. When I first got the bed it scared me how wobbly the bed was when I would get in it. I think I have gotten used to the instability feeling, but it's still concerning. My dog jumped into bed a few days ago and gave me a look like "Oh my God, is the bed going to fall." Then there's the issue of the massage motor. My bed has never had a functional massage function since out of the box. I called customer support, filed a claim as directed. I got a standard response e-mail and now I have not heard back anything or been send a new part, like the claims rep said I would be. It's 3-4 weeks since I filed my complaint. If that issue gets resolved I will bump my rating up to 4 stars. The wobbly legs are worth a one-star deduction. I really dislike how unstable my bed feels compared to my previous bed frame. 11/24/21 - the legs have become so wobbly that I'm in constant fear of the bed falling to the floor. I think what I'm going to do is pull off my mattress, and disassemble the frame. Taking the legs completely off. Build some sort of frame and then a fixed the movable frame to the DIY frame for more stability. This should not ever happen to a consumer. The legs are complete crap and pose a huge safety hazard. Honestly, I would not purchase this product again. I still have never heard anything back from customer support, and I have contacted them a few times. It would be so nice if the vibrational option would have ever worked. Between the legs and the absent customer support I would like to give this zero stars. Don't be a cheaper like me. Shell out a bit more money to buy a higher quality product. 12/4/21 Update! I purchased the Amazon Basics Heavy Duty Non-Slip Bed Frame with Steel Slats, Easy Assembly - 18"H, (King) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086VNNCNG/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_A35308QY2CX5BA3Y204X?psc=1, took the legs off of the movable frame and placed the movable frame on top of the Amazon frame. Then I zip tied it all together. For the first time in a year and a half I actually feel comfortable and STABLE. Holy cow, what a difference!! Those legs were all bent to heck. Such an awful design. I hope this helps anyone else that hates their wobbly bed!!
