It tends to lose suction often, despite cleaning everything with alcohol; however, it's heavy enough that the phone usually stays put until I can get it stuck back on the windshield. It helps to avoid placing it where the defroster vents blow directly onto the suction cup. The other annoyance is that it is hard to remove the phone with one hand. Otherwise, it works great at putting the phone in a very useful location.

Very adaptable, secure phone holder. Two hand operation to place and remove phone from holder. Foam grips on side clamps need to be replaced with more durable "sticky" rubber. I made this modification and have had no issues since. I see the product is no longer available! Too bad, with slight modification the product would be almost perfect.After about a year, the plastic base that holds the suction cup device has cracked, not sure if they will cover a replacement base. Has anyone asked for replacement parts that have failed?

I'm a field service technician who is on the road a lot for my job. I put A LOT of time and miles on my car every week. Having a good, reliable cell phone holder for my car is an absolute must. I need my phone to navigate, etc... When I first started my job, I first started with the typical products you find in Walmart that cost around $50 and are of course made in China or somewhere else not anywhere near the United States. At first I thought it wouldn't make a difference. It did. The first one I bought from Walmart broke within about 3 months. The second, another random holder I bought at a truck stop, thinking they may actually sell a quality product given their business, broke in about 6 months. I bought a third random holder and again the same story.Out of frustration, I searched the internet for an American made product, tired of paying $50 every few months for foreign made junk, and I found this absolutely perfect gem of a product. Not only does it cost far less than the foreign made junk I bought before from Wal-Mart, etc..., but it's invented and made right here in America. It's absolutely a dream. I owned my first one for about 4 YEARS with very little problems other than the foam peeling a very little bit. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to trade it in for a newer model, and I did. This particular one they have now is even better than before, which I didn't think was really possible. They replaced the foam pads with silicon rubber, so it should last forever. I've been using this current one I have for over 6 months now and it's still just as good as the day I got it. I don't think I'll ever have to buy another cell phone holder ever again, except for maybe another one of these here as a gift. I definitely highly recommend. This is an excellent product for a far less price than you pay at stores for foreign junk!!!

While it was more of an investment than other cheaper solutions, I'm glad I went with this. It blocks less of your field of vision, can be placed in almost any spot on the dash and the long flexible but yet sturdy arm allows easy placement where you want. It does not wobble at all when you drive which I was glad of as other cheaper solutions were much more like plastic. I have had to redo the suction only once in the past couple months probably due to temp change outside but even if it does unexpectedly comes off, it doesn't crash down since the long arm, assuming you don't use the shorter ones you can buy separately, helps support it as well. This feels much more quality than past car mounts I've tried and will last quite a while. Worth the price tag in my opinion.

I researched car mounts for weeks preparing for a cross country road trip/move. I was excited when I found this one because it was exactly the style I was looking for. I was so disappointed when 2 days into my road trip the nut holding the swivel arm to the glass mount fell off and was lost. It was completely useless for the rest of the 7-day trip. I seems like it can easily be fixed by replacing the lost nut, but it must clearly have a design flaw if it cannot last more than 2 days on the road.

UPDATE:The suction clamp has been redesigned. Third New iteration is head & shoulders above the original design. CelGo replaced both clamps. Excellent customer service. They responded to complaints with action. Re-desiging the clamp and than care of previous customers.I really like this in my truck, as the windshield is a stretch to reach. With the goose neck I am able to have my phone a little closer than my radio controls. Very convenient.Usually I give 4 stars for products I like (few things are perfect). I gave and additional (rare) star for their customer service.Original review:I like the idea of attaching to the window, won't harm the dash. The long extension allows placement closer to user. HOWEVER, the design is lacking. The nut that attaches the arm to the suction clamp falls off. I eventually lost it down the defroster vent. I replaced it with a wing nut, thinking I could tighten it more securely. It, too, came loose and fell into the vent.Not a great design.I purchased two and had the same problem with both. Needs more work.
