Love this powder!!! smell great & real powder!!! Not cornstarch!!!

Love the smell, its light but gentle smelling.

Wonderful scent and contains real talc. However, the cardboard container was difficult to deal with. I bought a pressed glass container for the powder and emptied the talc into that. Very nice.

Smell very good. The case is pretty.

Package is smaller than it appears in the photo. Scent is not true lavender although it’s OK.

Oh what can I say about true talcum? Many of the powder products are using cornstarch. Cornstarch is a thickener. When you add it to fluid it makes a gluey, clumpy mess. If I'm sweating I don't want to have put cornstarch on my body to make a sticky feeling. I'm not making gravy here people! I'm trying to stay fresh and dry with a light scent. This actually fills the bill. It keeps you fresh and dry with a silky feeling. I highly recommend. And the container is very cute with a little powder Puff that is great for easy application. It does not disappoint. Yardley is a trusted tried and true product and comes in many scents. This is a very nice one.

Where to begin? The packaging is not only different from the original product packaging but not in any way a positive user friendly direction. As someone who has purchased and used this product for at least a decade, I was shocked and disappointed when I tried to open the box. I did note before purchasing that the picture on the box had been changed. But never in a million years would I have guessed that the entire enclosure was different. First of all, clearly 1/2 of the box is solely the powder puff and of much inferior quality that the original. So just from appearances, other than the picture, you can't tell what is or isn't different inside. The top "lid" has to be pried off with a degree of difficulty. Under it is the "new" powder puff which fluff is so thick it will immediately and with each use absorb a great deal of the very skimpy amount of actual product inside. It says the volume by weight on the box is the same but it is highly compacted and much coarser in texture than the original powder. Beneath the powder puff is a sunken plastic tray with covered perforations to supposedly allow for shaking out the powder. It fits so tightly, in order to remove it you have to again pry it, twist it, and bend it to get it out. If you do succeed in removing the plastic tray you will then see that the actual powder occupies less than 1/3 of the entire box. While the product from the UK has always been somewhat higher priced, the ease of access through the box to the powder, the quantity and quality of the powder itself and the powder puff made it a joy to open, use, and re-purchase. I won't make this mistake again. Another brand will do it for me from now on.

This is the third Woods of Windsor powder product I've tried and I love it! I've purchased both their lavender and their rose powder and liked both of them, too, although I'm having a hard time if my favorite is the lavender or the lily of the valley fragrance. Some people have complained about the packaging. I think they've improved the powder "spilling" problem by shipping the powder container in shrink-wrap. You still have to be careful when you first open the box, and maybe open it over a plate so you can catch any powder that spills. Some people have also mentioned that the black fabric pull tab on the top was missing and that they had to cut the top of the box off. I don't know why they did that. You can just twist the container lid off even if the pull-tab is missing. Maybe they didn't realize that? Seems obvious to me, since that's how most powder boxes are made??? A lovely product with a delightful, fresh, light fragrance. Will continue to purchase their products.

Dies war ein Geschenk. Beschenkte fand den Duft angenehm dezent. Das Öffnen der Dose war nicht so schwer wie in vorherigen Rezensionen beschrieben. Sehr ergiebiges Produkt. Beschenkte würde das Produkt wieder bestellen.

Todo muy bien. Llegó a tiempo. Envoltura y contenido completo y en orden. Solo me hubiera gustado que el perfume sea más penetrante o con más aroma. Por lo demás, muy bien.

Hunted high and low for talcum powder in chemists and other high street shops, seems it is not a fashionable toiletries these days, so was thrilled to find it on good old Amazon. Ordered on Friday and it arrived the next day, I bought this for myself but if you have elderly female relatives this a great gift also comes in other perfumes and am sure they would be as thrilled as I am with this old time excellent product.
