Potato Chips, Wavy, 13 Oz

I decided to try these as Ruffles are getting a little too expensive. For me this is a good alternate. The ridges don't matter to me and the crunch is fine. Taste to me is a bit less salty which is not a bad thing. Will probably continue these as price does matter.

I have always been happy with the quality, crispness of Lay’s Brand wavy chips. Hold up in dip.

Lay's are the only brand I prefer to buy. Wavy Lays are my favorite because the wave creates space for the flavors to accumulate...giving an extra punch regular chips do not.

So I've reached a point in my life where I apparently sit on the couch and review potato chips. Maybe it's the shelter in place (covid19 whatup), or maybe it's my undying and ever-present procrastination. I've got a lot of other things I could be doing right now, but it's very important that I take this time to convey to you my thoughts and feelings on Lay's Wavy Salted Potato Chips. You may wonder, are they salty? Yes, the perfect amount of saltiness in each bite, the type of saltiness that makes your cheeks twinge a little and your brain want more. Are they crunchy? Of course they are. Can you imagine a soft potato chip? That would basically be mashed potatoes in a bag, right? Would you just eat mashed potatoes out of a bag with your hand? No. Of course they're crunchy. But let's talk about Lay's Wavy Salted Potato Chips ultra-defining characteristic, their strongest and sexiest feature: their waviness. Some chips ruffle, some chips ridge, but these chips wave like an undulating siren song upon the tongue. And when those waves hit a dip - ranch, french onion, nacho, whatever - when the waves hit a dip, that sauce wiggles on up that chip like you've never seen sauce cling before. Dip wants to BE on these chips. Dips can't RESIST the wave. You aren't a dip person? Don't matter. You can't resist the wave either. Those little nooks and crevices, those rolling hills of russet, golden and shining with oil - those waves create the perfect space for flavor to wallow, waiting to hit your flavor receptors and shimmy up to the pleasure center of your brain. These waves ain't high tide, and they aren't low tide, either. These waves are a rip current, and once you get sucked in, you'll never want to leave.
