Counter gets stuck when it changes from 9 to 0
Maybe it is a malfunction unit. The mechanical part may stuck at any 9. No problem to move one digit. But it gets problem to move more than digits. On the one I got, it is easy to get stuck at 49. You shake it and it will continue the count then stuck at another 9. I doubt if it can count at 99999 to move all 6 digits.Amazon offered free replacement. Will check if it will work.

Did Not Work for Me
Item arrived in a box without any documentation. Number display was partly rolled over and was hard to rest but finally did. I mounted it in a 4 x 4 PVC box and piped it into the box for the sump pump. Wired across the pump leads and waited. Pump cycled but the counter failed to index. After several hours the 4 x 4 box got warm along with the counter. Out of an abundance of caution I removed the device. As i see it the counter is stuck and was well on its way to burning up. Also the device is not UL listed or any other certification for that matter. Use at your own risk.

Poorly made, inconsistent function
Every time it gets to a 9 it struggles to turn over. It ended up stuck at 29, now it will not count anymore. Avoid this junk.

Counts the number of cycles for my well pump
I have been searching for a counter so that I could keep track of how many times my well pump comes on, and this counter does the trick. My well pump is 220v, but I bought the 110v counter since the 220v counter would have taken 3 weeks for delivery and the 110v only took 2 days.I hooked one lead of the counter to the pressure switch relay contact that gets power when turning on the pump and the other lead to my pressure switch relay ground, and it works great. Hooking it up in this manor gives me 110v, not 220v.I've only had it hooked up one day and I can see that my pump comes on much more often than I thought. Time for some fancy thinkin'.

Pump cycle
I use it to count whenever the sump pump turns on. Exactly what I needed and works as expected.
