Both Square D and Telemecanique are part of Schneider Electric. The switch is the same regardless.
This is a preliminary review. The switch appears to be fine, and the reset lever operates as it should. I have not installed it yet. In the off chance it doesn't work I will definitely edit this review. Of course the real test is if it continues to work for several years. Also, our switches have failed due to sediment getting into them, which of course is not their fault. The photo on the listing page (above) shows a *Square D* switch. What I received is a "Telemecanique." Both the listing photo and the switch I received do say "Pumptrol" so they probably are the same, but the listing photo should match the product being sold. I found this with a Google search: "Both Square D and Telemecanique are part of Schneider Electric. Schneider Electric has integrated some of the Square D sensor products, specifically limit, pressure, and float switches, under the Telemecanique Sensors brand." After doing that search I found an insert that says basically the same thing. At least one or two reviews mention that the terminal and ground screws (6 total) were extremely tight. That was the case with the switch I received also. They would not budge with a screwdriver so I put the switch in a vice and used a Phillips bit in a 1/4" socket on a 1/4" drive ratchet. The screws broke loose easily then.

One of those items you don't know you need until you know the trouble you're in without it...
I bought this item in fully rebuilding my well after the jet pump assembly absolutely ruined the entire setup because it didn't have one of these on it to begin with. If it had one of these, I would have saved about $1000. Highly highly recommend one of these with a safety shut off for low/no pressure. This item is a high quality unit at a good price. Would definitely use this exact unit on any job going forward. Functions as intended and will definitely be a pump saver in my shallow well.

Best in the industry
Built to last. Schneider Electric bought them back in 1991. They use the same quality parts.

Condition on Arrival - Damaged
As found on arrival. I don't know if this was a return item that was resold as new but this is what I found. The box was rather ragged upon receipt. I would not know if it left shipping that condition or if that occured in the transport. Obviously the electrical connecting points are not spec. All four of the electrical connects were bent, 1 was bent further than the other 3. All 4 of the screw connections were exceptionally tight, the 4th, the screw head is deformed. I am a large guy with strong hands and grip, I am having some trouble loosening the 4th screw. I need the water well functioning or I would return it as is. Maybe I can salvage the switch. This is NOT Square D quality that I am accustomed.

Absolute pump saver 💦
This low-pressure cut off switch has single-handedly prevented my jet pump from running dry on multiple occasions now. If the volume from the water source drops too low, this switch will detect the pump is not putting out enough pressure (10 PSI below cut in) and stop making contact, thereby shutting off the pump. Considering pumps are not inexpensive nor are they enjoyable to install, I’d consider this switch essential to safeguard your investment. My one caveat is if you’re filling a large volume (such as a 3000 gal storage tank), be prepared to hold the switch down for a long time before it’ll hold pressure. You can also tape it down with electric tape which has worked well for me.

No literature included
Square D/ Telelmechanique etc has been around forever. RELIABLE products to say the least. Glad I am familiar with this switch series etc, the one I bough had zero literature in the box, Im assuming it was a return that was not checked before reselling.
