Drill Hog Silver & Deming Drill Bit Set 9/16" to 1"

I am surprised to read negative reviews, because I am picky and am pleased with the way these have worked. I drilled 8 holes in 1” thick 1018 cold rolled steel and 4 holes in 1” forged steel in 5/8” and 7/8” and they ate through the steel. Key is to get the speed on the drill press right. Otherwise, you can burn up any bit in a single hole. I ran these at 300 rpm in the larger bit sizes.

Heavy duty American made large diameter drill bits. Not for use with a hand drill. These are very nice bits and I don't regret paying the price for them. They come with a card from the company that makes them and it's my understanding that if you break one they will replace it free. Highly recommend.

It's good to find competitively priced domestic products with a lifetime warranty. However, the fit and finish is so so. I've used four of the smaller bits, and half of them weren't straight. Because of the wobble, some wear has developed from one use on a Delta drill press.

I was drilling mild half inch steel the bit dulled almost right away I am not very impressed and I would not purchase them again the shank was not straight at all very disappointed in this product considering what I paid for them.
