Well built and may out live most of the people on Amazon. 5+ years and still in perfect shape.
Great solid honing steel. I've been using this for 5 years now and it's in excellent shape still. No rusts and still works. Unlike some of my Shun knives that have rusted over the years (not sure if it's user error or just a bad set, but a few of my expensive Shun knives are a bit rusted). Anyways back to the honing steel: get it if you want a high qualify honing steel that may out live you.

Exelente chaira, la uso para cuchillos mis japoneses y con unas pasadas muy ligeras con la parte lisa, ayuda a asentar muy bien el filo, solo hay que tener a considerasion que como todos los acabados de shun son bastante delicados y cualquier caida o mal uso les causa un daรฑo irreparable a la estetica. Aun asi la mejor chaira que he tenido y que he usado.
