Great in low temperatures
I bought these for a trip to Finland in December where temperatures got down to -30 degrees some days. I paired these with heated socks and my feet stayed warm throughout the trip. I was amazed because I suffer from Raynaud’s disease which means my fingers and toes regularly turn white and numb in response to cold weather. I was nervous about how I’d fair in Finland but very happy with how comfortable and warm these boots were.

Practical, comfortable, warm and waterproof - a good piece of kit for winter walking
I live in the Scottish Highlands and walk my dogs everyday in all weather conditions. I was looking for a pair of boots that would be waterproof, easy to walk in, and with enough grip for snowy and icy conditions. The boots are really warm without making my feet feel too overheated. I found the size to be spot on, perfect because it allows me to wear a pair of thick walking socks too. My real concern after reading the reviews was whether the boots would be heavy and uncomfortable. I am pleased they are not heavy to wear and have a soft sole, unlike wellingtons which give me sore feet when I walk for any distance. Compared to hiking boots they are also lighter. So far my feet have remained comfy and dry and I am happy with my purchase.

Good luck!
I always wanted a pair of Sorrells, everyone in Canada seems to wear them and as a dog walker out in all weather's these fit the picture.I just cannot seem to get the fit / size I require and so I have given up trying!Yes I could take out the insole to help with that but what? Really? Come on now.

The perfect pair of snowboots
I love these boots!!! They're really warm and well made. I am a 3.5 UK and followed great advice from other reviewers to buy my actual size and wear plasters on the back of my heels until the shoes wore in. The shoes fit perfectly, and although seem mildly tight length wise at the beginning, they loosen up quickly. They're a slightly wide fit I guess to make space for thermal socks if needed.I have Reynauld's syndrome and cold urticaria, which basically mean I'm not built for the cold, and after many trial and errors these are the only boots that tick all the boxes for me. Yes they're a little chunky in design especially for my petite frame but I think they're a good combination of practical and stylish.

Just short wellies with a felt insert.
For those of you in the UK these are just like short wellies really, with a felt insert. There is no support from the boot at all. Just a rubber base glued to a nylon ankle tube. Very flat to walk it/ no foot support. Ok grip in snow, but not as good as my walking boots. Absolutely AWFUL on ice , much worse than walking boots, more like ice skates! They are quite wide so good for a pair of thick socks and do keep feet warm & hight stops snow getting in. I've used in -10C so far and no cold seepage at all. So, warm and relatively comfy standing around or short walks, 1 or 2 miles, but disappointed with the grip ( when do you get snow without ice?) And really basic construction mean only suited to short walks/ standing around.

Best boots I’ve ever had
So I have lusted after these boots for a while now and finally took the plunge- for me the 7 wasn’t too large at all so I’m glad I didn’t size up. Initially the rubbed my Achilles’ tendon TERRIBLY and I was certain I was going to have to return them. But after some internet scouring and seeing advice from people with the same issue I loosened the laces so I could slip them on and off and the rubbing stopped. Now the boots have softened I can tighten them again without the problem recurring.Super warm and excellent waterproofing- we live by the beach and I can paddle into the sea in these no problem.Just buy them, they’re brilliant!
