I just received this brush. It looks good, feels nice in your hand. All the bristles were even, there was no shedding bristles, it's soft, but still firm enough to get a nice massage to the scalp. (I have a short buzzed haircut) I washed it before, using it for the first time. I dried it with a warm blow dryer. I'm sure you could let it air dry, but I wanted to hurry up and try it out Even after washing and drying it, there still was no shedding bristles. Note: if you wash this brush, don't soak it with water and soap for too long. You don't want to damage the wooden handle. Other than that, I would recommend.

I’m not sure if I got a defective brush, but based on other reviews, it seems I’m not alone. This brush sheds like crazy! I’m not talking about just a few hairs, I'm talking a lot, even just from touching it. It’s such a shame because the brush has the perfect density and softness I love in a boar bristle brush. But the shedding is out of control, every time I use it, I end up with 30–40 white bristles all over my hair and shoulders. It’s super disappointing.

This brush arrived in a sealed plastic liner. It is excellent quality and very gentle. Unfortunately the bristles are a bit too soft for my hair and don't penetrate to the scalp, so I have to return it.

Shed bristles A LOT, and was too soft to get to the scalp even though I have thin hair

I'd been using a similar boar bristle brush for many years, and it was showing its age - the entire outer row of bristles were worn down to little nubs! I bought the wave brush because it looked similar and I was ready for a replacement. I tried it out, as soon as I received it, and I was surprised how much more comfortable this brush was - the handle was more ergonomic, the bristles were softer (great for me because my hair is so fine and fragile), and the curve in the actual bristle portion of the brush fit better against my head as I brushed; therefore, most if not all of the bristles were being used to brush, not just a third or half of the bristles on a straight brush. Wish I had bought this a long time ago because it really is one terrific brush, worth every penny!
