I just received this brush. It looks good, feels nice in your hand. All the bristles were even, there was no shedding bristles, it's soft, but still firm enough to get a nice massage to the scalp. (I have a short buzzed haircut) I washed it before, using it for the first time. I dried it with a warm blow dryer. I'm sure you could let it air dry, but I wanted to hurry up and try it out Even after washing and drying it, there still was no shedding bristles. Note: if you wash this brush, don't soak it with water and soap for too long. You don't want to damage the wooden handle. Other than that, I would recommend.

Oder arrived on time, good packaging. Item was just as described online. Very soft bristles, easy on the hair which i appreciate due to hair thinning and some hair loss. Handle fits nicely in my hand. It really works well. Definitely order again!

This brush arrived in a sealed plastic liner. It is excellent quality and very gentle. Unfortunately the bristles are a bit too soft for my hair and don't penetrate to the scalp, so I have to return it.

I’m not sure if I got a defective brush, but based on other reviews, it seems I’m not alone. This brush sheds like crazy! I’m not talking about just a few hairs, I'm talking a lot, even just from touching it. It’s such a shame because the brush has the perfect density and softness I love in a boar bristle brush. But the shedding is out of control, every time I use it, I end up with 30–40 white bristles all over my hair and shoulders. It’s super disappointing.

Soft and well built

I'm a four-decade waver who's use Diane 8169 Softy brushes for years. Prior to that in late 70s and 80s, the thing to do was to buy any brush and put it in boiling water to create it's softeness. So, you know I'm old school because that was a back-in-the-day process. Therefore, I appreciate the advancement and brush technology but don't necessarily buy into the popular new school, high price brushes. I've seen the most amazing waves in my life from people using the cheapest brushes and just stocking caps from their mother's stockings..lol. Iowa, I am open-minded to progress and do you think the young way was on YouTube, speaking of curved brushes. Although, I was not going to get those hat price brushes but I did purchase this as a price was white and the reviews were right and it was what I was looking for. I'm glad I did. This brush is amazing and and the curve makes it feel like it was custom-made for your head. I can't get over how amazing that feel. I love the way it covers more ground with each stroke, than my Diane brush too. It is now my new weapon of choice four maintaining and progresssing my waves. Update 6/5/2021 Brush is such the truth, my son used it and now he has one. As far as some of the reviews , criticizing the brush softness. You either didn't know what type of brush you was purchasing because this is the soft version or you simply don't know your hair texture. If you have coarse hair you need a medium brush. If you have medium hair texture, you require a soft brush as a medium is overkill. You notice in my title I mentioned the 8169 Diane brush. That is a soft brush. I have medium hair texture and soft brushes are compatible. Now, these brush type recommendations pertain to hair textures of black men or women with wavy haircut styles.
