KONMAY 5 Sets 7.0mm Snake Shaped Hook Bracelet Clasps Set for Braclet Making, Antique Copper

I bought these a while back and made a Kumihimo necklace, without taking a photo, and have since made another Kumihimo necklace (this time with photos). While the inside diameter of each piece varies a bit, with some trial and error one can achieve a very good fit with the end beads to glue the parts of the clasp firmly in place. The snake head has eye sockets that you can glue small beads into. I used some Swarovski flat-back glue-in crystals and really like the fit.

These clasps are clever and stylish, but they will not stay fastened if they are even a little bit larger than the wearer's wrist. I made a snake-patterned beaded kumihimo bracelet for my daughter in what was considered a "small" size. It fell off her wrist 6 times before she even left my house, so I took it back and made one a little smaller. The same thing happened. We were able to get the smaller bracelet to stay on better by giving the bracelet a 360 degree twist so it was under tension, but that distorts the beaded snake pattern. Back to the kumihimo disk!

A gorgeous clasp, I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up to frequent wear.

I used E6000 glue to make this multi-strand bracelet. As you may notice the head and tail do not "line up" but this is ok with me. I've always been intrigued by the Worm Oroboros so these satisfy me. I made this one and others have asked if I can make more.
