Good price but , handle continually comes loose. No way to track grind adjustments.

Almost good
This works fine. It's a little stiff in the handle, and the wire straps clamping it shut are flimsier than I'd like, but it works.

- Perfect for the light coffee drinker - Looks great
Pros:- Perfect for the light coffee drinker- Looks great; stores just as good- Very adjustableCons:- Locking nut comes loose during regular usage (Doesn't affect the quality of the grind, though)- Hopper not enclosed; grinds can sometimes jump out during operationTo give you some perspective on how I use this grinder, I make a cup of coffee in the morning by grinding whole beans and French pressing them. The grinder makes enough coarse grinds for a 16 oz. cup per hopper (a little over 4 tablespoons), so I make two hopperfuls of grinds every other day. Based on that level of usage, I LOVE this thing. I can wake up, pop open the container, and have my coffee waiting in the press for the water to boil over. If I'm low, by the time the kettle's whistling, I've already made two hoppers of grinds (about 5 minutes tops) and am ready for the next couple of days. The grinder itself is a great discussion piece on the counter top, but it's small enough to keep in a cupboard if space is at a premium. Its design allows for all range of grinding -- super coarse to very fine. Finding the "sweet spot" for your usage is a little tricky, since there's no real dial for the level of grinds; you'll have to eyeball the adjustment wheel, grind a few beans, and adjust from there. I've also noticed that the locking nut tends to loosen during operation, but it doesn't affect the resulting grind; you'll just have to retighten when you notice the grinding handle has a lot of play in it (I've found that I've had to re-tighten it about 1-2 times a week). Additionally, the hopper itself does not have a cover; as you come to the end of a grind, some of the larger grinds occasionally "jump out" of the hopper as the bean cracks apart. There isn't a whole loss, though, maybe about an 8th of a bean's worth. A quick sweep of the hand across the counter and it's like it never happened.Overall, for the casual coffee drinker, this is a wonderful kitchen addition. The cons are more or less nitpicky, I know, and that's why I still rate this grinder so highly.

Disappointed
I am a coffee lover and this is a big disappointment. It did not grind well and my expensive coffee beans were too corse. My usual coffee making method taste like water down coffee. I guess it'll just be a displace.

My french press no longer has small bits floating about in it and that makes me happier than you can imagine
I've had this for a week, and I want to make it clear that this grinder does its job. I wanted an option for very course ground coffee beans, and this gave it to me. My french press no longer has small bits floating about in it and that makes me happier than you can imagine. However... It's not built very well. To be completely honest; I'm not expecting this to last very long. It could if I'm careful, but given the nature of grinding just about anything: it's hard to be completely careful all the time.My main issues start with the latch itself. Mine came bent. It's pretty thin steel so I was able to bend it back into working position but, for the price, it seems like it should be thicker and more ridged. Next; The plastic gasket that protects the ceramic top from rubbing against the ceramic bottom doesn't work. Due to way the rear hinges are designed; the top comes down at an angle rather than just straight down, thus making both ceramic elements rub against each other. Nothing like a little ceramic powder in your morning coffee... Lastly (given the top and bottom don't separate) every time I try to dump my freshly ground beans into my french press, a mysterious 2-4 beans materialize and fall out of what seems like nowhere onto my kitchen floor. No matter how hard i try to check every nook and cranny of the plastic grinder (I wasn't thrilled with the design of that either, but eh... whatever) there always seem to be some that get missed. The bottom line with this thing is: it seems that it should be priced around $10-12 considering how it has been designed. Also, I had way too high of hopes and expectations for a coffee grinder...
