It would be nice if the company would offer a replacement gas cylinder as that is the only part that wears out to keep the cost more reasonable. It's a shame to discard something that still has product life, you don't throw your car away when it needs news shocks or spark plugs. This is the third unit replaced in 17 years they take a lot of use.

May pop up before closing holding your door open.
I bought as a replacement of same model and this one keeps popping up before the fire closes... I'm hoping after it has been used for a bit that it won't be doing that.
