Maxwell Scott - Mens Luxury Leather Tall Billfold Jacket Dress Wallet for Pocket - Made in Italy - The Pianillo Dark Brown

I’m not one to leave reviews, and I’ve never actually taken time to feature pictures, but this product has me impressed! I bought this wallet for my husband over a year ago and it still looks brand new! The wallet leather is high quality and durable. The design is sleek and slim, it fits in both jacket pockets and pant pockets. This is worth the price tag. I plan on purchasing more for gifts, so I’ll update the review after my father has had one for a year. If this little wallet can withstand even a year of the abuse he puts on leather wallets, it’s tougher than nails!

Back in the Ancient 90s I was on Summer Vacation in London, and had an issue with the "taller" U.K. currency fitting in my tiny American wallet. Seemed simple enough to walk into a store and buy a "taller" wallet that would handle "taller" bills. In hindsight, I should have bought a few spares as no wallet lasts forever. These days, I am hard pressed to find a viable replacement.. ..at least until time travel becomes commonplace. In 2015 I tried looking about on-line (and on Amazon) for something, but the best I could find was an abomination known as a "Hipster Wallet". I think "Hipster" translates to "Throw away", as after three days I couldn't stand the thing. Last week I remembered "Real Wallets come from the U.K.", so searched Amazon.UK and within minutes had found Maxwell Scott's "Pianillo". Basic Specifications for The Pianillo ----------------------------------------------------- - Twelve card slots - One center billfold slot, - An inside pocket behind each row of card slots (total of two). With a card in each slot and 20+ "bills" of US currency in the center pocket, it measures about.. 8 1/8" length (open/laid flat) 6"-ish in height. 1-1.25" thick, but much of that thickness comes from paper money in the center pocket. First Use -------------- I suppose I would liken this to getting a new pair of shoes, as it needs to be Broken In. The card slots are TIGHT and sliding even a single card into each slot requires a bit of pushing. Paper business cards require a bit of "bending/pushing" to slide into the slots. Leather will stretch over time, so after some use this should no longer be an issue. Future models should have "RFID blocking" materials, but in 2018 I use an RFID-blocking paper sleeve around each card. The addition of these sleeves makes sliding the cards in-and-out of the slots a little trickier till the wallet gets Broken In. If one stores additional papers (invoices, etc) in the wallet along with paper currency (20+), the wallet may not "lay completely flat" due to the added thickness of the paper. HOWever, this isn't an issue as the slightest amount of external pressure - from the cloth of one's pocket - will be more than enough to keep the wallet completely closed/flat. In other words, even with a card in each slot and 20-30 units of paper currency in the center pocket, this wallet is **NOT** a "brick". Comparisons to a tired 1990's wallet ------------------------------------------------------ The 90's wallet is like a comfortable old shoe, but some slots are so loose that if only one card is in a given slot, that card might slip out. Leather can stretch over time. So guessing the Pianillo will need some Breaking In Time before it can handle two cards per slot or business cards without extra pushing. As my 90's wallet is about 3/4" shorter and 1/4" wider, it would (of course) be WONDERFUL if the Pianillo was about 3/4" shorter and about 1/4"-ish wider. :) I think I am starting to prefer the metric system... none of this 1/4" or 1/8" nonsense...

I have to carry a lot of cards for various reasons and don't want a brick in my back pocket. I wanted a nice wallet that I could carry either in my backpack or in a jacket's lapel pocket during the day. The wallet is very attractive and high quality and has many slots for a cards and compartments for cash, etc. It’s exactly what my husband wanted!

This is a really great item from the wallet itself to the box it arrives in. I don't have a lot of experience with men's accessories but I can tell this is high quality and I'm sure my boyfriend will love it.

If I needed two wallets, I would get another one. Awsome product.
