PLD08010S12H 75mm 3pin Video Card Fan Replacement for Gigabyte GEFORCE GTX 970 Cooling Fan

Used this item to replace the aging fans on my Gigabyte Gtx970 windforce. They work great, install was pretty simple for someone who is comfortable tearing down computer parts. They're quiet and don't whine like the old ones did.

My NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 fans crapped out. I was not certain these were the right replacements, but they worked great. One caveat: you need thermal paste as well at least for this video card. I was able to replace the fans without removing the heat sinks but it was seriously hard and I nearly broke the frame that holds the fans. Do yourself a favor and order the thermal paste as well and remove the fans as prescribed. I was successful replacing them without properly disassembling the frame but I was lucky.

I have bought this set because the fans on my GTX 970 became very noisy. During replacement I found out that one of my original fans actually broke - the fan disconnected from the base.I replaced the fans without disconnecting the radiator (so I don't have to worry about replacing the thermal paste) and without fully disassembling the cage. I swapped each old fan with a new one, leaving the original connecting wiring in place. It required more elaborate and gentle manipulations from me but was easy enough at the end. I released the two screws of the cage that are easily accessible so I could lift the cage a bit to work on the wires. In other reviews I read that the wiring in this set is short so I preferred to leave the original.Works more than a week now without a sound. Like new.

The fans spin fine. However, very poor quality control means three fans were three different sizes and not completely round, causing rubbing to varying degrees on the fan shroud. Only one of the three fans spun without rubbing. It is a matter of quality control.I will have to shave the fan blades carefully to make them fit.Too late to send back, otherwise would have done just that.If you buy these, expect fitment issues despite these being listed as precisely the correct replacement for the intended video card. Also, cable lengths for the fans were incorrect. I was able to sort it out. It is another artifact of poor quality control.Better option may be to ditch these fans, deshroud the card and use a couple of 90-120mm fans in the slot beside the GPU. Lower temps than factory are pretty much assured.

Noise gone

Fans work. The are quiet. I used them to replace the fans on my 970 windforce card. You will need a tiny Philips screwdriver and thermopaste. The install was a pain with the tiny screws but doable. Much cheaper than buying a new card.

Product is as described, fans are quieter than stock. They definitely feel cheap but they do their job well.

Worked as expected for my 6800 galaxy graphic card. Also as a bonus it included the cables needed.

Fans arrived quickly although they were shipped from China. Bought on December 19, received on December 29 which is the fastest delivery I ever had from China.Otherwise, replacing the fan was quick and easy on my Gigabyte GTX970 Windforce OC. I simply disconnect the 3 fans and replaced them with these. Works perfectly and card is back on the road.30$ fix instead of buying a new GPU was a nice economy. Throwing that card just because of one fan died just felt wrong. This saved it!
