Simple, light-weight shelves, easily assembled. Extra kudos for the simple small but effective nail holder that keeps the nail upright, away from your fingers, and positioned exactly right distance from the edge (you nail the very thin back onto the shelves). In the photo of two, I added simple vertical support to avoid what would otherwise be sagging shelves (they are just friction fit). To be clear, these are not fine furniture - just vinyl over thin particle board, but good value for what they are.

Quick to assemble, sturdy enough for a small book case, attractive looking and nice

I purchased this for use on my desktop for CDs and misc "lite" equipment. The bookcase is sturdy enough for this use but I would not push putting too much weight on the shelves. The entire bookcase is made 12mm (7/16") particle board. There are pilot holes that were already drilled which was a nice feature. Otherwise the shelves would split apart. The backing is just cheap laminated cardboard. I used my brad nail gun to fasten the backing to the bookcase along with some wood glue to steady the unit. Also, you may want to use a toothpick yo locate the pilot holes before placing the screws in for ease of assembly and to prevent splitting the shelves apart. Using a power screwdriver set on 3 for to avoid stripping the screws worked great. So using the power driver, glue and brad nail gun, the assembly was easy and took about 30 minutes. Overall, the product is worth the cost. Just take your time because there isn't any room for errors, especially when it comes to applying the backing. Using the glue, I would increase the sturdiness from 3 to 4 stars

I bought this to store my books from college. It is the perfect size, as I placed it next to my desk. The color is close to birch wood. Be sure to Bang those screws in hard for a nice firm feel. The wood pieces felt good (heavy), not cheap. It looks like a nice little book shelf. The photo is pretty much on point!You get four horizontal pieces, two longer vertical pieces, and two sets of screws( one thin set one thick set). I put it together in 30 mins, easy. It didn't help that the directions are ONLY in Chinese.Cons- Doesnt Support heavy books for long. eventually replaced this book shelf after 1 year. Better for decorativesPros- easy set up (2) great feel. (3) just buy it, its good Im glad i didnt listen to the bad comments! its simple and versatile

Honestly wasn’t hard to assemble, I did it alone and it took like under an hour (though it’s approximately supposed to take 30 with 2 people doing it). The only thing I hated was putting together the back panel. It requires you to hammer nails into the back which caused a lot of splits in the shelf because it’s so thin. You have just about half an inch to not accidentally break the wood in the shelf. Felt like a hassle to return and I didn’t care so I honestly just covered it up. Simply wouldn’t recommend just due to the back panel but if you can live with holes in your shelf than maybe this is the product for you

This is a cheap, poorly made bookcase. Each shelf will only hold 10 lbs. 5 hardback books might overload - and possibly break - the thin, particleboard shelves. Save you money, get a couple pallets and some bricks. You’d be better off.

Great for the price. We use it in our daughter's play room for all of her books. It wouldn't work well for the typical book, but is just the right size for smaller board books that toddlers read. And she loves having it all right at her level so she can pick the books herself. It is nice and sturdy. The only downfall is that they don't give you anything to cover up the screws, so those are visible. But it's not a huge deal. The assembly was nice and easy, too. My husband put it together in a matter of minutes. I think instructions were clear, but he could have put it together without them, too. Very simple.

These were shockingly sturdy for the price. Assembled quickly and easily, and they look really nice, too. Only potential problem is that the height of the individual shelves is a bit short for some larger books.
