YES, its the Eighth ingredient. Generally speaking, it follows High Fructose syrup, sugar, salt, modified corn starch...not in that order. I just use this as an adjunct to my cooking tastes/goals/desires...A good question--- thanks for asking! I prefer organic healthier alternatives. This is just a last resort, to thicken my oriental dishes. I am open to more healthier products if you have any suggestions. G.
