Perfect for a non-digital Television
This unit works perfectly to allow my non-digital Television to access local digital channels. The television has a perfect picture, but I lost the ability to view channels after I dropped my cable company. I get perfect reception with an inside antenna.

Didn't work
Thank you for your TV Converter Box. It arrived quickly after I ordered. The instructions were very clear. Customer Service is excellent. Stay blessed, stay safe, stay healthy, stay home as much as possible.

Broken after a year and four months
Worked totally fine but now it won't even so much as turn on. Some internals must have fried from normal use. It didn't overheat from strenuous use since it's installed in a basement.

Works well
I have Vizio Smart TV which does not have a built-in tuner to attach an HD coaxial antenna cable to.In order to convert digital over the signals to analog, you will need a converter such as this.It is very small, only 6.5 inches long. It has a nice, easy to use interface for setting up and scanning for channels. If you add a USB drive you can record programs and make photo slide shows. It works well, but I took off one star because it does not come with 2 AA batteries for the remote, an HDMI cable to attach to the TV, and the cord to plug into an outlet is very short about 30 inches. I had to use an extension cord to plug it into the outlet behind the mounted TV.

North Carolina
I live very near a large river on the coast and I couldn't pick up ABC,NBC or CBS, of course those are the channels I needed. So, for me this doesn't work. It may work well in another but it didn't work here. It is easy to set up, it only took a couple minutes. Compact size makes it easy to put just about anywhere. The electrical cord is way too short, so I had to place it on a short table. I wanted to place the box on a dresser for my bedroom tv and it would not reach the wall outlet.

Work fine, but power cord really too short!
Can catch more than 30 channels!Just one thing, the power cord is RIDICULOUSLY short! And it’s not detachable from the unit, so you can’t replace it by a longer one! The only solution, add an extension cable. And yup, like I said, it’s ridiculous! How much will cost them to add 3 more feet of cable, 10 or 20 cents?——————————————————Update:Due to my previous comment, the seller contacted me several times, willing to resolve this « câbles too short » issues, even willing to refund the purchase! I didn’t accept the refund (the device works fine) just for the inconvenience.Because of this positive attitude of the seller, I decide to change the rating to 5* !It’s not so much sellers who care if the customer is satisfied! Thanks

Works, but has multiple quirks that prevents recommendation.
I have two other tuner boxes similar to this one, but this one is the worst of the three. All of these tuner boxes seem to use the same basic software, but the Mediasonic I have has the most refined version and has fewer negative quirks than the other two. There are two main issues with this box that I consider to be deal killers. First, even though in outward appearances it is nearly identical to the Mediasonic remote, the remote for this box has no range at all. I'm not sure if the issue is the remote itself or is with the box, but in order for it to work you have to be within 3 or 4 feet of the box for any remote inputs to be recognized by the box. Even then it is quite hit or miss and the box will at times spontaneously reboot. The second big fail has to do with it's timer for when you schedule programs to be recorded. Any scheduled recording that spans from one day to the next day will never stop recording unless you do it manually. For example, Perry Mason comes on MeTv weekdays from 11:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. If you schedule this to record it will start at 11:30 p.m. okay, but will not stop at 12:30 a.m. Also, if you set this to record and try to schedule something else to record after 12:30 a.m. the screen will display a conflict error. Since I like to record Perry Mason, this is a problem. Because of this along with the terrible range of the remote and random reboots of the device, I would avoid this U-003 model until the manufacturer fixes the firmware. The Mediasonic HW130STB is a bit quirky, but far superior to the U-003. I wanted a second box with different remote codes so I could record a second program at the same time, but the U-003 is an overall fail.

Well worth the price.
This converter works so much better than the expensive one that stopped working ever did. Very clear and rich picture. Is able to pick up all free channels. Well worth the price. Only complaint is that the electrical chord is really short.
