This costume was of better quality than I thought it would be for the price. The skirt was thick and the jacket kept its shape. The alastic button closures were the one thing that was disappointing because one of them tore on the first use. Other than that, it's really a beautiful costume for the $$.

I loved this costume. The quality was there! The only thing is the “top” they send with it is literally just a piece of fabric that covers your boobs. That’s it lolOverall, amazing. The skirt is heavy and good quality and has made it into my regular clothing rotation 👀

Fit perfectly! Such an original costume. great quality. Hopefully I get to use it again! Purchased a small, size 27 waist and 34 chest. Fit perfectly snug, medium would of looked too loose.

This was such a great quality costume. We went as Nadia and Lazlo from what we do in the shadows. Got lots of compliments. I highly recommend it. I actually wore a size large for the costume. As others recommended I bought a high neck sleeveless blouse and corset to wear under the jacket.

I purchased and used this costume for a local theater production in which I played an "Evil Stepmother". It is advertised as a vampire costume (and one kid did say I looked like a vampire), but it has a Victorian/historic design that is versatile. I received numerous compliments on the costume, particularly the jacket which has a nice cut and fabric appearance.I was very pleased with the quality. The skirt fabric is velvety, medium weight fabric with an elastic waist. The fit is flattering and not bulky under the jacket. The jacket is medium-weight, and rather stiff, but it gives the appearance of crushed velvet. The jacket if burgundy, but it appeared lighter under stage lighting. The lace dickie/undershirt worked really well for me. I wore it over a black camisole and it really finished the costume nicely.I think the costume is true to size. I ordered a medium - I am 5'5", 137# and usually wear a size 6 skirt and 8 or 10 top to fit broad shoulders/chest (36ish). The medium jacket just closed but there was no give or stretch to the fabric. This wore well through 7 shows with no damage or issues. I was going to leave it in the costume department, but I am going to keep it. I love this costume!

My husband and I went as Nadja & Laszlo from What we do in the Shadows. These were perfect! As other reviews have also stated :)I purchased an XL, I have really fat arms and was worried about the jacket not fitting, but I was so glad it did! I am about 5'3" inches tall, and a curvy 185ish lbs here, and wearing boots in this photo, so you can see the length is good. The velvet like jacket does not have any stretch to it, but is made roomy enough to move easily in. the lace on the cuffs is attached, and the toggle buttons in the front are functional with elastic loops. good enough quality to wear outside of Halloween, maybe everyday wear, if as an overcoat. It is not lined. the collar is large and stiff enough to pop up or wear down.the velvet like skirt is elastic waist. I also wore a long black petty skirt under for some fluff. The lace neck piece it comes with is just a front "bib" cover. elastic button closure in the back of neck. I wore a tank top under as well, the bib doesnt cover much alone. I altered the wig and I made my doll to match :)

This is a FANTASTIC costume, especially for what you pay for it. My boyfriend and I went as Nadja & Laszlo from What We Do in the Shadows for Halloween this year, and this and the matching men's costume were absolutely perfect for it. The costume itself comes with the coat, the skirt, and a lace dickie. You are meant to not have to wear a shirt under the jacket. I ordered the large and the jacket and skirt fit quite well, and I was able to close up the jacket no problem, but there was some gapping so I couldn't get away with wearing just the dickie. Honestly, even without the gapping I probably wouldn't have been comfortable with just the dickie anyway, but that is your preference. I would say if you are busty at all this will probably be an issue for you. It's a shame because the dickie is actually very pretty! I didn't use it at all tho, and instead I ordered a high-necked Victorian style blouse here on Amazon for about $20 with long sleeves that fit the aesthetic of the costume and wore it underneath the jacket, along with a brocade patterned underbust corset for about $12 (that you can't see in this pic because it is under the jacket) to complete the ensemble and it really was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the costume overall, even with the additions I made to it. It is well worth the price for the quality of the jacket and the skirt alone, imho. I do theater and I would say these are theater-quality garments, definitely a step up from your average Halloween costumes. You will easily get more than one year's wear out of these if you treat them well and store them correctly! Don't pass these up if you're thinking about getting them!
