I’m concerned my cat will claw through the mesh and escape. How strong is it? Can pets rip through if unsupervised?

That was my concern. This was purchased for two kittens to keep them secure when they get underfoot. We've had it for a few months and so far so good. They play inside and on top and I see no damage. Believe me there is nothing docile about these two! We also use treats as incentive to get them inside. They now come running when they hear that treat bag rustle. It should be used as a safe haven for your cat...not as punishment.

What they don't tell you, and I figured out, is that it's the floor that makes it hard to fold. As you fold it, you need to ensure the bottom cloth is not trapped inside the fold. It has to be outside hanging out and end up in a triangle which you then tuck. If that gets Bunched up inside it won't close easily. It has to fold in a W configuration then, once you've got the underside cloth to fold into itself will allow you to make the thing fold flat and theb you fold the triangle on the outside.

Does it come with the water bottle

no it does not. But my cat loves the playpen.
