Fantastic knife.
I work in the wine business, and I open and cut hundreds of boxes each month. I owned a Gerber rev.2 Super knife (the one with the checkered aluminum panels on the handle, NOT the plastic one) for years, and loved that knife. But this Klein knife beats that Gerber hands-down. Locking mechanism is FAR superior, the blade holder is MUCH more secure, and the overall construction is on a completely different level--for a lower price. Also, the hinge on this knife is super-smooth. You can open it with one hand just by holding the button and flicking it open. And you can close it with a flick too. This knife is superb quality--like ALL Klein tools. IF you use a box cutter/utility knife for work--even if you're not an electrician--just GET one of these and forget all the other folding utility knives out there...

Very high quality utility knife.
This solved all the problems that I experienced with my previous utility knife. Old knife was bulky, wouldn't fold completely (by design), did not lock when folded, and retracting blade wouldn't stay out during use due to poor positioning of the slide mechanism. This Klein knife is compact and very good quality. Push button lock keeps knife folded and unfolded. Non-retracting blade, so no need to worry about blade movement during use. Easy to grip and looks good. Bought a second one as a spare. Update: After more than a year of heavy duty use in some dirty outdoor environments, this utility knife still operates like new. The opening action is still extremely smooth, and blade retention and release is flawless. My other knives that I keep as loaners don't even compare with the quality of this Klein. I'm still very impressed with the build quality of this tool.

Superb Action
This is the best utility knife I've ever owned - and I've tried them all over the last quarter-century. It is easy, almost too easy, to open and close, and mine at least stays open or closed with no problem. I've read reviews to the contrary, and I guess those must be lemons, or else I'm just lucky. Anyway, for me, the most important attribute of a utility knife design is that it is easy to deploy from the pocket and go from closed to open with one hand and in one move, every time. Being able to close it with one hand is a huge bonus. And, of course, it's easy to remove and change the blade, too. This design succeeds where many others don't even try. The push-button is brilliant, although it takes a few minutes to get used to it. Once you do, you might become a knife snob. Then again, it's a Klein - it's not for the handyman or the hobbyist.

Best Utility Knife!
This is the best utility knife I’ve ever used! Can be opened using one hand which is nice if you’re holding something else and can be closed one handed! I bought this about 6 months ago and it still works great! I work in construction and use it a lot everyday. Highly recommend especially if you are planning to use it everyday.

Decent quality, not up to Klein's standards
This utility knife is fairly decent. The blade change mechanism is easy to use, and it feels extremely solid.Though it was halfway decent, It was in no way a Klein tool.My biggest con is the knife cannot be opened with one hand. I've oiled it and I've flexed the mechanism back and forth hundreds of times, however, I still cannot get the hinge free enough to open easily with one hand. Some other minor complaints include that distinct dollar store odor that lingered for the first day or two of using the knife, as well as the odd position of the pocket clip.I don't think I can recommend this knife, there are several significantly better products on the market for a similar cost.

Love the knife
I use utility knives almost constantly at my company, I almost knocked a star off because I have broken 4 of these now, but I absolutely love the use and feel of these, I also recognize my constant abuse that most people wouldn't put it through. I hope the fact that I rate this a 5 star after having to replace it so many times tells you just how much I enjoy this knife. Oh and if you are wondering, the lock pin takes some abuse after flicking it open to the point it gets wedged and breaks. But I open it on average about 30+ times a day 5 days a week and use it to cut very long straight repetitive cuts that often require a bit of pressure. So it really gets used very heavily, the blade changes are a breeze it's slim in my pocket and incredibly light weight.

Amazingly versatile utility knife
Most versatile utility knife I have used. I use a utility knife several times everyday on the job. Cutting shipments open, cutting wires etc. I had lost my favorite utility knife that had wood trim. When I first got the Klein, I was a disappointed because the opening and closing was disconcerting because I had to push a button to open and close. Finally, I realize that this was the beauty of the knife. Push release button and a flick of your wrist, it is open or close. Have to admit, that it is so easy that I play with it because the motion is so easy and smooth. I am overseas at an embassy and my day is packed full of technical jobs and being able to open the knife in a split second makes my job that much easier. I will buy another one for home use. My only constructive feedback is offer this in black to be more covert.Good job Klein Tools.
