I had been looking for the CR2016 batteries namely to be sold by Amazon and NOT third parties. Was glad to have found the Panasonic 10 pcs. Received them in original packaging genuine Panasonic product. I knew if I had ordered from Amazon directly they'd be the real thing. Already used 4 of them and they worked great. Way cheaper than the local stores and Amazon sells genuine button batteries. Avoid third party batteries like the plague. They are old expired counterfeit junk. Buy amazon directly.

It seems like any pair of stacked 2016 batteries should work for these remotes, but after two separate packs of new Duracell's didn't, I was happy these Panasonic batteries finally did! Supposedly you can remove Duracell's bitter coating from the negative side and they should work, but none of the suggested techniques worked for me. These? Just installed them and the remotes work again.

I got a bunch of these as DIY replacements for my Volkswagen GTI's key fob. They last a LONG time. I had tried a generic brand replacement and had found that the battery warning was going on a bit too frequently.I'm very happy with these.
