Nintendo Compatible Digital Audio/Video Adapter (Clear with Remote)

The gamecube is my favorite 6th generation console, and I had my first 'Cube when I was in high school. The console was the last time Nintendo had a cutting edg,e powerful console. The Carby gets you an unbelievably crisp and sharp image. It's insane. The Eon GCHD Mk-II is twice the price for the same features and functionality. The Carby, Mark-II, and Taico all use variations of the same open source technology, which is GC Video. The Carby is the best choice for price, features, and performance. The Eon Mark-II is twice the price and the Taico has very low build quality. The Carby comes with a remote which works out of the box and is sturdy as hell and looks pretty cool, especially with the LED.

This HDMI adapter isn’t just a regular adapter, it display games in 480p which looks way better than the regular old composite cables(Yellow,White and Red) and it also gives you the ability to make games wide screen 16:9 which also look good on modern TVs. All the games that support progressive scan will look amazing. Overall it great but this is for people who are GameCube enthusiasts who really play a ton but it’s definitely worth it. Sadly it doesn’t come with its own HDMI you only get the Adapter and the remote to change the adapter settings which is nice.

It is a must buy for those who wish their GameCube games were a little more polished. It also makes it super convenient in connecting via HDMI to newer TVs. (Tip: change your picture settings to “zoom” or “stretch” on your tv to get a bigger picture)

This took about 40 mins of troubleshooting to get setup but It has my Gamecube and GBA games looking the best I've seen them.

A few things I feel you should know when purchasing this device:First, in order to get 480p instead of 480i from your console, you'll need to ensure the game you're wanting to playcan be run in progressive scan mode. Most of the best games can, but some can't and it's worth a look. In order to boot into progressive scan mode, hold B when botting up the console and game.Second, this device can deliver a good signal to your HD or 4K TV and it looks nicer than it would with those cheap converters but it will not smooth out the jagged edges for you and it will not remove the blurriness. You'll need the mClassic for that and it will run you about $100 extra. The mClassic will not do you any good if you do not have the console running in progressive scan mode.Third, make sure the HDMI cables you're using are of good quality if you plan on using this with the mClassic. Poor quality cables can mess up the picture and cause judder.This device is cheaper than the Eon and will do the same thing, and it's a must if you want to affordably get a proper GameCube signal to your TV.

I have a CARBY adapter and it works great. Glad I bought this but I got it directly from the company itself. I am glad I got this over EON GCHD Mk-II or that rare progressive cable that is expensive on e-bay. This does basically the same thing for a better price which I think is fair. It makes it possible to have progressive depending on the games that support it and it looks very good. I have no regrets buying this. Worth the investment for retro collectors since it breaths new life into the console. (Note this works only on gamecubes that have digital AV output)
