Loved the phone but not enough to buy a new one every year..
So I bought this phone just a little over a year ago and I have mixed feelings about it. I hope Runbo gets their stuff together because this could be an exceptional phone if they had a US based support team. This phone fell off the roof of My car at 60 mph and hit the asphalt top side down, I heard it go looked out the side mirror to see it bounce a good 20 feet in the air spinning wildly! I turned around and picked it up and all that happened to it was a small abrasion that was barely noticeable! It's probably good the antenna was not screwed in that day. The walketalky feature works quite well. The OS never malfunctioned, it surfed the web at blazing speeds and Amazon Instant Video was awesome on it.. the EQ for audio works great... but for some strange reason a few days ago it stopped charging. I have no idea why.. the battery is now dead and I fear this is the end.. almost like a programmed death. Very unfortunate as I liked the phone and it still looks like new after all the abuse Ive put it through..

Runbo phones, tuff and rugged, but forget about service
I origionally bought a Runbo X3 with the qwerty keyboard, it worked well, for almost up to a year, but then there was a problem with the charging system inside the phone itself, the battery would take and hold a charge, if charged outside the phone, so it was not a battery issue, and it was not the charger, it had to do with the micro-circuits inside the phone base itself. I took it to a repair shop, and they said that they could not fix it, micro-welding, and they would need the new part. I did right RUNBO in China, but they basically told me, "we are very sorry, but tuff luck for you."I then bought a CAT C-15, but that died on me (I'll discuss that in their review.I just bought a RUNBO X5, I do like the Runbo concept and their phones, after three months, I'm getting glitches in the re-booting process, it will attempt to boot multiple times, after up to a half an hour, it will finally boot up, sometimes. Needless to say, I'm not going to ever bother to right the Chinese company RUNBO, and get another "tuff luck, no service for you...." This phone is like a bic lighter, use it till it breaks and throw it away (or sell it for parts on Ebay).

Excellent durable android phone
I've had this phone for about 2 months, and in that time have been pretty satisfied. The dual SIM slot setup is pretty handy, though I wish it were easier to differentiate between lines (alternate ringtones would be nice). I've thrown it in a pool to test the waterproofing, and it survived with no leakage at all. It is vital that you properly torque the battery cover screws, because if those aren't screwed in well enough the watertight seal will be compromised. It makes it a little annoying to change memory cards / SIMs, but those aren't actions I really do all that often. The cover screws seem a little soft, so I'd suggest using a properly sized screwdriver lest you damage them. The walkie-talkie feature is neat, but the software is very much proof-of-concept, and until new software is published it isn't a terribly practical feature (the volume is always at max, turning every break of squelch into an ear-bursting blast of static). On the whole, I'm pretty pleased with it as a smartphone, and I'd suggest it to others.UPDATE: After owning this phone for roughly a year, I've finally run into a problem. One of the side rubber panels has come unglued, and slowly peeled away to the point where it has exposed a couple buttons. I'm pretty sure this would lead to water leaking in if submerged. I've attempted to glue it back on, but who knows how well it will hold.In light of this, I've reduced the rating to 3 stars. I'm still pretty happy with the phone, but this should have never peeled away, since the only points of leverage are on the phone's face bevel to begin with. Any worthwhile glue should have held with no issues, which makes me worry about the overall quality of components.
