Acoma Pueblo Pottery: Honoring the Tradition

Beautiful and Informative Book
I was familiar with Lucy Lewis and her heart-line deer designs, but knew little else about Acoma pottery before reading this lovely book. Dr. Barufaldi's descriptions of the artists' lives and family relationships have enriched my appreciation of these traditional works of art. The exquisite clarity of the photography by James Paul Barufaldi, Jr. does justice to the pots. Dr. Barufaldi's poem at the book's end is a touching tribute to those who gather clay from the earth and transform it into lasting beauty. The book honors the work and is a treasure itself.
