In the first usage ,even i was slightly disappointed at the product, coz it got all so messy that making one chapati got difficult. But , i ll tell with my experience, you need to preheat at low heat for about 2-3 mints, grease it a little with ghee, oil or butter as per personal preference. and then put your chapati or paratha over the tawa. Yes, you have to be extra cautious while using it since steel gets heated up very quickly as comapred to Aluminium or non stick tawa, so prefer cooking on low to medium heat only(thats very important).I would say Its little less comfortable to use than normal traditional tawa. Clean the tawa after every usage (obviously once it cools down), you can simply wipe it off with a clean cloth. Thickness wise it is sturdy.

The tawa is terrible. Steel quality is inferior. I just tried to make 2 plain rotis (no oil) on this. It became black / brown and atta stuck on it. Took me a long time to clean residue, but tawa is still black. But the worst thing is that the bottom damaged my new induction cook top. It now has a whitish ring on it. Obviously very inferior quality of material. Can't return even though i'm eligible to as I'm now overseas and won't return until past permissible return date. And cant share pictures as something wrong with the upload option

It's a solid tawa with a strong handle. Easy to work with and no tension of harmful non stick coating. Strongly recommend 👍

It requires thoroughly cleaning

The best of best quality steel and nothing bad for Hawkins little oil consumption weight is fine very useful I think company is taking 1300 for 1 mm steel and 5 years warrenty for erosion please please provide 5 mm steel for future research by u

Worth the money

This tawa performs very well on an induction cooktop because it is made of stainless steel. On induction, the heat is distributed evenly across the entire surface, which helps rotis cook uniformly. However, its performance on a gas stove is not as good. Since the flame heats only certain areas directly, there is a higher chance of the roti getting burnt in some spots. One of the best features is that the handle does not become hot during cooking, making it comfortable and safe to use. Dosa Pan or Tava what ever you call it. This has to be the best one I have ever used. I use it on a electric stove and keep it medium. It gets warm very quick

The tawa is becoming black it has black burnt marks on it. Using on my induction stove

Initially I liked the packaging and product of this product. But after 2-3 days of use I realized that this product is not that good. Because it is very expensive and the quality is not that special. I made chapati and bhakari on this tava, chapati is okay, it does not stain that much, but when we make bhakari, this tava turns very black and sticks. And then you have to work hard to remove those stains. It is dishwasher safe but the stains do not come off easily, you have to wash it by scrub. So I will not suggest this product at all.
