Punky Colour Jaguar Green Temporary Hair Color Spray Washable, 3.5 oz, 2 Pack

I got this hairspray for a barn show I was in. We were obviously the green team. This hairspray covered a lot of surface area. One can, however, did not cover my entire head. The most that was covered was my top layer and roots. I did ride in 90+ degrees with this dye, and a little did come off during the ride, but that was to be expected. The consistency almost thicker than a dry shampoo— definitely chalky texture, it will rub off on your hands if you touch it. Other than that, it really wasn’t an issue, I thought it did a pretty good job. The color was highly pigmented, too, which is a plus. If you have thick and longer hair, I recommend getting a couple cans.

Color is on point. Was able to do this costume for 3 different events for her from 2 bottles. So did her hair 3 different days. Color is amazing. I’m surprised how vibrant and vivid the color is. It coats the hair. It doesn’t wet it and weighs it down. Kind of like a dry hair color paint. Similar to dry shampoo aerosol can. I bought 2 different generic Halloween red can hair sprays and her hair was still brown and wet at that. I then ordered this and I am sooo glad I did. I read the reviews and they didn’t lie. It’s not 100 percent transfer proof, but it is pretty darn close. Doesn’t just fall off or flake either. FYI: We put a trash can bag over her body with arm holes and a head hole and then did her hair. Do it outside or somewhere you don’t mind it getting in the ground because the first time, everyone had red bottom socks after from walking around. It doesn’t overspray around you. Worked great though! Will definitely be buying this brand for any other hair coloring event.

Bought for a fun little test run. I love my natural hair color and wanted to have some fun with temporary color, avoiding damage if possible. The spray is vibrant on a lighter hair (duh). The texture of the spray is like a normal hold hairspray, which wasn't quite what I was looking for in this little experiment, but it was easy to use. I carefully combed out the hardness of the spray to see if the texture would soften, but that ended up flaking/brushing out the color itself. I gave it 4 stars anyway because it's easy to use, a good price point for what it is, and my hair was not damaged.

I read several reviews that indicated this colored very well over darker hair, I figured it would be pretty great over my light brown hair....it was okay, I didn't want full coverage anyway, but the product applied in a fairly thin stream that made even, moderate coverage difficult. My biggest complaint is how awful it makes your hair feel. I have 2C curly hair and I used this for a cosplay because I thought it would be better than trying to shove all of my hair in a wig and not pull out my curls the way a non-spray temp dye would (I needed to wash it out that night, so temporary was necessary). My hair looked fine before spraying---it looked dry, frizzy, damaged, and gross immediately after spraying. In addition to making my hair generally feel gross, I had to set it with more hairspray, which was recommended to prevent bleeding. This barely helped prevent the dye from getting on other surfaces. I have long hair, I wanted to wear it down, every time I touched my hair to move it, I would get red dye on my hands. Red dye also got on the shirt I wore with my costume. Luckily there was no permanent damage to my hair, but it felt so gross and really impacted my enjoyment of the convention I was attending since I was constantly worrying about getting red dye on everything. Application is also messy. Luckily I have a cement floor that I'm not concerned about keeping pretty because it's easy to clean. This spray comes out of the can super fast in a fairly narrow stream---not like canned hairspray. I will note that the 1 star I allow it is genuine--- I have A LOT of hair. I was able to get light coverage on the top layer of my hair with about 1.5 cans of spray. It is also *kind of* easy to remove. I had to try washing my hands various times during the convention just to remove hair dye. If I used water alone (from my water bottle and a towel) it was a struggle to remove. If I used soap, it came off fairly easy. It did come out of my hair in the shower, but it took a very long time (again, lots of hair). If you must use this product and have curly hair, I recommend deep conditioning after washing it out.

Worked great! Very vivid and I was able to spray 2 hair pieces and my roots and it lasted all day it did rub into my hands every time I touched my hair but I figured that was typical and it washed out pretty quickly and easily!

I'm a color hair spray newbie. I haven't used any other color hair spray before, so I don't know if my experience is typical. The product technically works, but the aftermath was so awful that I will never buy this again. For context, I was using this for a costume at an all-day music festival. I have long (past my shoulders), black hair with a wavy texture. One can gave me decent coverage, but two would have been ideal. The red is quite vibrant even on thick black hair. I had no idea that this stuff would stain so badly. Not even an hour after applying the spray, the color stained everything. By everything I mean my clothes, most of my upper body, and even people I made contact with (my boyfriend's entire left side of his body was stained and ruined his clothes too). By the end of the festival day (about 10 hours), all of the color had faded or rubbed off except on my bangs. I did a load of laundry immediately after the festival to attempt washing the color out, but it wasn't very effective. The color was permanent on any items made of polyester. The color mostly came out on items that were made of cotton or cotton-blend, but there are faint stains that I will need to treat later (if it can be treated). For non-clothing items I used alcohol wipes, which worked for some items (e.g. my clear backpack) but for other items there were permanent stains (e.g. my brand-new woven cowboy hat, my hand fan). My advice is that if you do buy this, don't wear anything precious with it. I ended up throwing out my brand-new costume because there was no way of getting the stains out.

It is VIBRANT! Be aware that until it is VERY dry, it will transfer color. It did wash out from the clothing that it got onto. I had to be very careful about things like chairs and my car seat! (a towel will fix it). My robe was very pink and a quick regular wash made it white again, zero trace of pink. I did this for Pride Sunday at my church and so had to be careful with where/how I sat so not to get our blue chairs, pink. It washed off my hands. Had I thought about it, I would have worn gloves, but it goes everywhere. Do this outside. DO NOT do it inside because the mist lands where it lands. I suggest you have someone help with the back. My husband would have but he was already dressed. He just talked me through it. DO NOT dress first. When I got home, I went right to the shower. I used a clarifying shampoo because it's formulated to get product out of your hair. But any shampoo would do the trick. If you are ok with using the water, a lot of water first would really help. Your hair gets "dense" so it takes a LOT of water to get all the way to your scalp, so shampoo will help. Use a cheap shampoo first even. My final shampooing (third?) I used a WetBrush (tm) to brush the shampoo through from root to scalp. This made sure I got every single hair washed! I did the same (as I usually do) with the conditioner and let that set while I washed my face and scrubbed my back that had color transfer. Great for temporary color. If I were to do it again I would: Have someone help me. Section my hair better. Dry my hair with heat to perhaps tame down color transfer. I used two cans. The second still had some in it, but definitely needed two. I have included two photos. Pink and immediately after my shower.

Worked absolutely perfectly for my Wilma Flintstone costume! Came out in one wash and didn't stain my shower. Would buy again 100%

My daughter has very dark brown-black hair and this spray shows up quite well.
