Mochi is a snack food consisting of smooth glutinous rice paste, often with sweet fillings. It is most closely associated with Japanese culture, but similar sticky rice-based foods exist throughout East Asia including in China and Korea. For this reason its popularity as a treat extends far beyond the borders of Japan. Mochi is also gaining in popularity outside of Asia thanks to its unique marshmallow-like texture and wide range of fillings. It has become a favorite snack item and is available in numerous U.S. Asian and mainstream stores.

not like the ones in the assortments I got from Costco
I bought these because they were the same flavor as the ones I really liked from an assortment I got from Costco despite being of the same flavor from the same company with what look to be the exact same ingredients(some parts are written different but from my understanding, they should be the same ingredients) they taste completely different. I noticed they were a bit smaller which according to the food facts these are 90 calories while the ones from Costco are 110, but with the same ingredients, I don't understand how these ones taste so much worse. I still had a couple from the assortment I got at Costco and I did a side by side taste test and these were much more bitter and had an off-flavor id almost call chemical like.they were also stickier on the outside which I'm guessing the stuff on the outside used to make the mochi less sticky is icing sugar which may account for the perception of it being more bitter when the icing sugar was gone but not the chemical taste.

Tasty
Red bean (adzuki) mochi are my daughter's favorite and these were satisfying! Tasted very fresh. They were a bit sticky but maybe due to shipping and sitting on our hot porch. Mochi is thinly coated with cornstarch to prevent sticking to fingers or package. Compared to other brands I've tried this one seems to have less filling and so less taste. Satisfied a craving but not the best flavor. I would check pricing locally... per package this cost twice as much as our local Asian grocery. But it was convenient having it shipped to our door!

Mochi Perfection Here !!
This mochi is perfect! I am Japanese so I am a little picky about mochi. This brand has fine texture as well as smooth bean filling. The price is great, too. I gave them as gifts and got 100% praise. Enjoy a great mochi!
