Wow, we can buy this stuff now on Amazon!!. What has the word come to some wonder?. Anyways, I think per 1/4 teaspoon that it is around 490 mg which could be used for say 88 fl. ounces and yet as a preservative it still depends upon ingredients. I think for 88 fl. ounces is cool because takes 1/2 teaspoon of Potassium Sorbate. You must follow guidelines on emulsifiers, stabilizers, defumer's, and salination I do believe and that can sometimes take in order to validate 2 or more years for products. I think that 2 parts (p.s.):1 parts (s.b.) on those is pretty cool for some solutions on the per 44 fl. ounces of it. I think that when many of the products were done that companies created say 740 variations and bottled them and set them aside to see in several years which passed validation for preservatives with the best taste. Regardless of the chemistry classes I think that validation should still be performed for products to hit the market. That helps make sure the products are both safe and also enjoyable to the consumer of the products.

I want to bottle a tea drink that would either contain half&half or soy milk. Could I use this to extend the shelf life and how long would it last?

I had a food production plant, and used lots of Sodium benziate in fruit based beverages, but never used it with dairy products. In my opinion a lot of testing should be done before using it on a Soy(dairy )product.  as far as 1/2 &1/2 goes, definity NOT.
