Amazing second book
This book was even more amazing than the first! Amazingly unique world and a twisting plot. Great characters that have you cheering for them and crying at their heartbreaks. A must read! Haven’s quest has had a few hiccups to say the least mostly because she has a knack for nearly dying but she would do anything to save her friend from being sacrificed to the dark queen’s daughter. Even accepting the help of a brooding and too pretty Sun Lord. As her motley band of outcasts collect the items needed to break the curse and draw closer to the dark queen’s palace the danger only grows. Haven’s light and dark magic are growing stronger but still are out of her control and when tragedy befalls the group Haven makes a gamble that will either give her the control over her magic she needs to help save them or kill her in the process.

My New Favorite Series!!!!
So o.k., this is the 2nd book in series and suffers from absolutely none of the dreaded second book syndrome, if anything, it's even better than the first. There are so many twists, turns and betrayals, and none I saw coming, it was soooooo good. There's a few storylines going on, all intertwining and each outstanding. My jaw dropped in some of the chapters, and i was like, no way, holy crap type moments that you need to take a breath. The characters continue to grow and the world grows creepier, and I mean parts of this world are nightmarish, scary, get me the hell out now. More is at stake and there's so very much to lose. I cannot possibly convey how FREAKING GOOD this is, it's become my new favorite series and I'm ready to continue with book 3, which is already out and waiting for me. If you love good fantasy, this is not to be missed. Read it, read it read it!!! I would suggest starting with the first book, your not going to want to miss a word of this, pinky swear!!!

Will this band of misfits be able to break the curse?
After agreeing to train with Stolas, Haven had herself dropped into the Ruinlands to find a vorgrath so she could help heal Rook. The vorgrath almost killed her and Archeron realized he had developed feeling for this mortal. Haven and the Solis make their way across the Ruinlands, picking up pieces to break the Curse on their way to save Prince Bell. Bell happens to make a friend during his imprisonment and finds out the real cause of the curse. Bjorn's prophecy comes to fruition. All but one make it to Spirefall to try to break the curse and they are betrayed as soon as they meet with the Shade Queen. This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Holding my breath half the time. Waiting for Archeron to kiss Haven for half the book was freaking excruciating. I will be starting King Maker now and he had damn well better kiss her soon or I'm going to throttle him.“Stop longing to be less, Haven, and accept that you are more. Stop apologizing for the fire inside you. Instead, burn and burn like the sun until you set the world ablaze.”

Captivating story.
It us easy to immerse yourself in this story. The world building is intense and so descriptive that you an easily imagine the characters and the twisted world they inhabit. This band of misfits who are almost total strangers are on a quest for redemption and freedom. All are broken in some way and have their own agenda and secrets. Forced together to fight the evil devouring their world the band of weary travellers become friends despite their initial misgivings. So many battles with monsters and Haven has to stay alive long enough to save Bell from the Shade Queen. Her ability to look death in the face and keep on fighting is admirable and crazy at times but she is the ultimate underdog, a mortal girl with so much bravery and/or stupidity that she will never give up.Even the Shade King is torn as he watches Haven protect the people she cares about with no thought to her own life. The end of this book was surprising and I hope that more secrets are revealed in book 3.

I'm so glad there will be another book!
Character development was great and the twists and betrayals were awesome. Only disappointed that there still was no sex or even kissing! I also wonder from a passage claiming that every solis has two soulmstes if Haven will get to have both her lords in the end since she seems to be drawn and needing both of them. The deaths of certain characters was tragic but necessary . I can't wait to read what will happen next and if we will find out more about Haven's mysterious past.

I absolutely loved this book!
Curse Breaker picks up right where Oath Taker leaves off and you're thrown right back in to the action. There's so much going on in this book that there's never a dull moment. I loved all the action, Haven's growing relationships with the Solis, her and Archeron's budding romance ❤ and the many surprises at the end!! Highly recommend!!

Oh my goodness.
I was not emotionally prepared for the state in which this book left me. I kinda knew how things were gonna play out, but that didn’t make it any less heartbreaking. My confusion with the first book is now gone as I’m beginning to understand the world and lore a bit more. Large parts of this book gave me strong Beauty and the Beast vibes. I can’t wait for more and I’m sad that only three books are out so far.

Curse Breaker: Kingdom of Runes

Addictive fantasy!
Audrey Grey has done it again with this brilliant sequel 😍Curse Breaker is just as thrilling and exciting as its predecessor and packs a heavy emotional punch as Audrey proves she's not afraid to kill off characters 😩It's so refreshing to read about characters with so much depth and history and beautiful examples of purely platonic love that echo through several characters bondsOur lead character Haven is the EPITOME of strong female lead and she is strikingly complex in her personality. The character building is just phenomenal but the dialogue in this series is also SO. DAMN. QUOTABLE.

Brilliant!
LOVED IT!!! HATE that I have to wait for the next one. I couldn't put it down. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. It was intense and enthralling. Well and truly one of the best reads for me this year! (Very short list too, there have been some disappointments unfortunately) honestly though, I highly recommend this series. It's riveting, heart soaring, gut wrenching and just un-put-downable for lack of a better word. LOVE IT!!!
